Combat relies on strict movement inertia, stamina resource limits, and animation locks rather than constant high-speed attack button pressing.

Managing Movement Momentum and Dashes

Movement in Absolum carries distinct inertia. Directional changes are not instant, meaning a reckless dash can leave your hero overextended and open to enemy counter-attacks.

• Reserve dashes for repositioning: Do not use dashes as your main way to travel across a room. Save dash energy to break out of enemy swarms or clear attack danger zones.
• Maintain neutral positioning: Treat combat zones like a grid. Move deliberately to stay out of enemy hitboxes rather than relying on late dodges.
• Funnel enemy crowds: Use environmental corners or narrow passages to force enemies into a single line, making movement easier to manage with limited energy.
