How to Execute Guard Breaks

Basic light attacks are often absorbed or deflected when enemies enter a defensive block. To shatter an opponent's poise and open them up to high-damage finishers, focus your offensive rotation on dedicated guard-break mechanics.

• Avoid Light Attack Spam: Light strikes deal little damage against guarding foes and waste offensive momentum.
• Use Heavy Inputs: Charge-based attacks and character-specific guard-breaking skills inflict heavy poise damage.
• Capitalize on Stagger: When an enemy's poise bar empties, a distinct stagger effect occurs. Immediately follow up with your strongest combo during this temporary vulnerable state.
