To clear dense room encounters in Absolum, prioritize interrupting enemy attack wind-ups with timed melee strikes, throwing arena objects to knock back advancing foes, and canceling attack recovery animations with quick dashes.
Managing Hit-Stun for Crowd Control
Hit-stun interrupts enemy animations, stopping incoming attacks before they land. Maintaining crowd control relies on managing these stun windows rather than indiscriminately button-mashing.
- Target Active Threats: Strike enemies while they are winding up an attack to reset their attack cycle.
- Observe Flinch State: Watch for the enemy's hit-stun flinch animation after an initial strike instead of committing to full melee strings immediately.
- Reposition or Set Up Throws: While a target is locked in flinch-stun, switch targets to interrupt another advancing enemy or move in to perform a throw.
Tactical Environmental Object Use
Objects scattered across combat arenas act as ranged weapons that bypass standard melee trades and push groups of enemies back.
- Scan the Room Upon Entry: Identify available objects and locate high-threat enemies immediately.
- Throw to Break Enemy Lines: Pick up and toss objects into dense groups of advancing foes to create space for healing or skills on cooldown.
- Manage Limited Resources: Save arena objects for resilient targets or elite waves in sparse rooms. Use them immediately upon entering dense rooms to force a breakthrough.
Arena Positioning and Recovery Canceling
Staying near room edges prevents mobs from surrounding you and funnels incoming attackers into narrow paths.
- Funnel Enemies: Move along the perimeter of the room to keep all active targets within line of sight.
- Dash Recovery Canceling: Input a dash immediately after damage numbers appear from a hit to cancel recovery frames and exit vulnerable animations.
- Avoid Corners: If enemies begin to flank your character, dash into open space immediately to avoid sudden health loss.

Good guide for Absolum players. The strategy part was useful.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
The tips are practical and easy to follow.
