Absolum: How to Clear Solo Trial Waves and the Final 6 Enemies
To survive solo Trial rooms in Absolum—especially when reduced to the final six enemies—move immediately to the outer edge of the arena, isolate high-threat targets, and use dash-canceling to cut attack end-lag before your stamina completely empties.
Target Isolation and Positioning
Rushing into the center of a Trial room leaves you vulnerable to flanking attacks from multiple directions. Draw enemies toward the arena walls so all active threats remain in front of your character on a single screen side.
- Prioritize Ranged and Mobile Units: Destroy fast-moving foes and projectile users first. Leaving ranged enemies active while fighting melee units is the primary cause of failed Trial runs.
- Control the Edge: Keep your back near the outer perimeter so enemies cannot surround you.
- Dash Out After Combos: Execute your combo, then instantly dash toward open space rather than finishing long attack animations in place.
Managing Stamina and Dash-Cancels
Dash-canceling resets your attack animation frames, allowing you to strike without locking yourself into vulnerable recovery windows.
- Prevent Stagger: Stop attacking as soon as your stamina hits its lower threshold. Overcommitting to an extra attack at low stamina causes a stagger state, leaving you completely stationary and open to heavy hits.
- Capitalize on Enemy Cooldowns: When enemies miss attacks, pause briefly during their recovery window to regenerate stamina before resuming your attack routine.
Environmental Crowd Control
Use the arena layout and interactive items to maintain control over large groups of enemies:
- Wall Pins: Trap mobile or high-priority targets against corners or walls. Securing a wall pin allows you to stunlock enemies and neutralize their dangerous move sets.
- Environmental Throws: Throw stage objects into dense enemy clusters when space gets tight. The resulting hit-stun knocks back opponents, granting time to reset your combo or reposition safely.
Defeating the Final 6 Enemies
When only six enemies remain in a Trial room, enemy AI becomes significantly more aggressive and attacks at a higher frequency. Switch from an aggressive push to calculated punishment.
- Wait for Recovery Windows: Do not initiate broad attacks into incoming clusters. Wait for enemies to complete heavy attacks or unblockable charges, then punish their recovery period.
- Deploy Saved Buffs: Activate any remaining temporary invulnerability items or stat buffs during this final stretch to survive aggressive attack overlaps.
