To manage large enemy groups in Absolum, lure mobs toward the edge of the visible screen before triggering camera resets or initiating combos. Moving to screen boundaries forces enemy AI into a predictable path, allowing you to cluster targets for area-of-effect (AoE) attacks and environmental object throws while preventing enemies from surrounding your hero.
Kiting Enemies to Screen Boundaries
When you move your character to the edge of the camera view, enemy pathfinding shifts toward your new location, often pausing spawn logic or funneling chaotic groups into a straight line.
- Group enemy mobs: Walk to the screen border to force scattered enemies into a tight, linear formation.
- Set up wide attacks: Save high-impact AoE abilities and thrown objects until enemies align along the boundary.
- Prevent encirclement: Keeping your back near a screen boundary ensures enemies cannot flank you from behind.
Combo Execution After Camera Shifts
Enemies reaching the screen edge will immediately attempt to re-engage once the camera shifts. Timing your attacks around their forward movement prevents missed hitboxes and opens safe counter-attack windows.
- Wait for movement to complete: Allow target mobs to finish their forward movement phase toward your position. Initiating attacks too early risks missing enemies pushed outside your hitbox.
- Bait forward momentum: Stand near the boundary until the mob commits to a forward attack animation.
- Dash-cancel behind the group: Dash through or around the advancing enemies to reposition behind them, trapping them between your hero and the screen edge before starting your combo.
Maximizing Environmental Object Throws
Absolum features interactive environmental items, such as explosive barrels and heavy debris, that deal significant impact damage.
- Cluster near items: Position your character next to debris or explosive barrels located near screen transition boundaries.
- Time your throws: Throw environmental objects as soon as the clustered group walks into range, hitting multiple targets before they spread out.
- Target high-poise enemies: Use heavy environmental throws to break or damage shielded and high-poise targets that resist basic attack staggering.
Safe Room Transition Practices
Moving between map sections can spawn fresh enemy waves that punish poor timing.
- Check stamina before moving: Never step into a screen transition during a post-attack recovery animation. Ensure your stamina gauge is full so you can dodge or dash immediately upon entering a new room.
- Clear hazards first: Neutralize lingering environmental threats before triggering a room boundary shift.
- Backtrack to reset aggro: If overwhelmed by a massive mob in a new area, retreat across the transition boundary to previous screens to break line-of-sight and reorganize your tactical approach.

Nice guide. I am checking the other Absolum articles next.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
Good guide for Absolum players. The strategy part was useful.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
