To maximize your score in the Ant Legion Predator Invasion event, split your armies between minimal home defense and active alliance reinforcement. Defending your own nest earns fixed baseline points, but sending extra march queues to defend teammates against incoming spider waves generates the bulk of your total score.

Event Rules and Defeat Penalties

An alliance R4 or R5 leader initiates the Predator Invasion event. Once started, spider waves march outward from nests across the map toward every active base in the alliance.

  • Wave Escalation: Spiders attack in progressive waves of increasing combat strength. Repelling a wave awards points toward individual milestone rewards and overall alliance leaderboard rankings.
  • Two-Defeat Elimination: If incoming spiders breach your defenses twice, your nest catches fire and stops receiving spider attacks.
  • Shared Garrison Points: Troops garrisoned inside an ally's nest share elimination points when a wave is defeated. Because your own base only receives one attack per wave, reinforcing allies is the only way to score multiple times within a single round.

March Allocation Strategy

Parking your entire military inside your own nest caps your score and wastes march capacity. As long as your base withstands its incoming attacker, every remaining march queue should be deployed outward.

  1. Assess the incoming wave: Check the level of the spider marching on your base. Early waves are weak and require only a fraction of your army to defeat.
  2. Hold a dedicated home guard: Keep your strongest specialized troop type or main hero-led march at home to secure a clean defense and avoid taking a base burn.
  3. Deploy spare queues outward: Send remaining marches to reinforce teammates, focusing on lower-might players who are at risk of burning.
  4. Monitor garrison caps: Every nest has a maximum reinforcement capacity. Marches that arrive at a filled nest will idle or return without engaging, yielding zero points.

Wave Types and Defensive Adjustments

Certain waves alter standard attack routes by deploying heavily boosted boss spiders or targeting the Alliance Fort. Adjust march positions based on the wave objective:

Wave TypeTarget FocusDefensive Priority
Standard WavesIndividual player nestsRetain minimal defense at home; dispatch remaining marches to allies.
Swarm WavesHigh-activity nestsFunnel extra garrisons to lower-might players taking multiple hits.
Boss WavesSelect targeted basesRecall distant queues and stack heavy frontline troops into the marked nests.
Fort WavesAlliance FortSend high-tier marches directly to the Fort before the spiders impact.

Boss waves can burn mid-tier bases in a single pass. When a boss targets an ally, recall light reinforcements from safe nests and consolidate heavy defenses into the marked player's base before the boss lands.

Territory Clustering and Travel Times

March speed determines scoring efficiency. If a reinforcement march takes longer than the spider's march timer, your troops will arrive after the battle finishes and earn no points.

  • Form a tight hive: Cluster all participating alliance members closely together inside alliance territory prior to launch. Tight spacing reduces travel times to seconds, ensuring troops arrive ahead of spider waves.
  • Pre-assign reinforcement pairs: Coordinate before the event begins by pairing high-might players with developing accounts. This guarantees that fragile bases survive while higher-power players secure consistent reinforcement points.

What to Do If Your Base Burns

Suffering two defeats stops incoming spider attacks on your nest, but it does not remove you from the event. Your armies remain intact and fully capable of reinforcing others.

If your nest burns out, recall any troops remaining at home and immediately redirect all march queues to active teammates or the Alliance Fort. With no need to reserve a home guard, you can deploy 100% of your troop capacity across the alliance to continue accumulating points.
