Piercing basic attacks: Both kits feature basic attacks that travel through targets in a straight line, dealing magic damage to entire minion waves without spending mana.
Shield and movement steroid: Activating the defensive ability grants bonus ability power, a protective barrier, and increased movement speed. Trigger this skill several seconds before arriving at a side lane so the movement boost applies during the rotation and the cooldown starts cycling early.

Directional Barrage Ultimate

Both heroes channel a continuous linear barrage—Kahlii firing blades and Garuda launching feathers. The channel locks the firing direction while permitting normal character movement:

Place your area-of-effect slow underneath targets first to limit their escape options.

Gildur translates directly to Mozi, functioning as a hybrid control tank and poke mage capable of disrupting enemies from range or locking down teamfights up close.

Long-Range Stun Poke

Both characters use a long-range projectile that detonates on the first hero struck, causing a localized stun. Because this ability has a cast delay, lead moving targets by roughly one hero width or fire from brush along the river to hide the startup animation.

Peel and Lockdown Combo

When enemy divers engage your backline, execute this sequence:

Fire your ranged projectile to halt the attacker's approach.
Dash forward toward the target to generate a defensive shield.
Activate your channeled ultimate to create a cage that continuously damages and stuns adjacent enemies.
Finish with an empowered fourth basic attack to knock retreating survivors back toward your team.

Pacing and Mechanical Adjustments

While skill interactions are functionally identical, mechanical timing differs between the two games:

Missile speeds: Projectiles in Honor of Kings travel slightly faster with tighter skill registration. In Arena of Valor, lead moving targets more conservatively when casting Gildur's blast to compensate for slower missile travel.
River geometry: Arena of Valor features river brushes positioned closer to the mid-lane corridor, giving Kahlii quicker access to tower protection. Garuda must respect wider vision gaps in Honor of Kings by freezing waves closer to allied territory.
