To fuse Mythic Stratos (also known as Cloudy Zarlock) in Bit Heroes Quest, you must obtain its mythic schematic and combine the required Zarlock-line familiars and secondary fusion components with crafting materials and gold. Stratos operates primarily as a bait tank, using high defensive passives to redirect and survive attacks that enemy AI directs at your party's lowest-health or lowest-stamina members.

Fusion Requirements and Preparation

Crafting Stratos requires preparing base familiars and stockpiling fusion currencies before committing your resources:

  • Mythic Schematic: Drops from high-tier content and fusion pools. You cannot fuse Stratos until this schematic drops.
  • Primary Component: A base or fused monster from the Zarlock familiar line, obtained by persuading the required creatures in dungeons or raids.
  • Secondary Components: Supporting fusion familiars necessary to fulfill the mythic recipe requirements.
  • Currencies: Substantial reserves of gold and fusion materials.

Do not consume your active frontline or progression familiars to craft prerequisite components until every required piece and material cost is ready. Disassembling your current lineup early can halt your daily dungeon and raid clears.

How the Bait Tank Mechanic Works

Standard frontline tanks absorb direct row attacks and cleaves in the first team slot using massive health pools and flat damage reduction. In contrast, many endgame enemies and bosses target party members based on targeting criteria such as the lowest current health, lowest maximum stamina, or specific backline slots.

Stratos manipulates these targeting rules. By calibrating its stamina pool to sit slightly below that of your primary damage dealers, enemy single-target burst attacks focus on Stratos instead of your offensive units. Stratos then mitigates or counters those lethal spikes through defensive passives like block, evade, and deflect.

Stat Tuning and Skill Usage

Running Stratos requires checking your party's unbuffed stamina values. If you give Stratos too much stamina, enemy snipers will ignore it and eliminate your glass-cannon damage dealers. If you give it too little stamina, back-to-back critical hits can take it down before your defensive passives trigger.

Tune Stratos so its effective health pool satisfies the enemy AI's lowest-stamina criteria while maintaining sufficient mitigation through equipment, augments, and guild perks. In combat, Stratos uses a three-tier ability kit:

  1. Low-SP Disruptive Attack: A cheap single-target strike that applies debuffs or minor shields, generating skill points while maintaining active pressure.
  2. Mid-Cost Recovery or Threat Skill: A self-sustaining skill that restores health or reinforces target priority after absorbing an enemy burst phase.
  3. High-Cost Team Mitigation: An expensive skill point spender that provides team shielding, absorbs widespread damage, or reduces enemy offensive output during boss encounters.

Augment and Brain Priorities

Augments determine how reliably Stratos survives burst damage and punishes attackers in high-tier Trials, Gauntlet, and PvP:

  • Brain Slot: Equip a brain that triggers defensive effects when attacked or when health drops below specific thresholds. Shields, heal-on-hit effects, and damage reduction procs provide the highest survivability.
  • Skeleton and Bone Slots: Focus on Block Chance, Deflect Chance, and Damage Reduction. Deflect is especially effective on a bait tank because reflecting damage from high-damage enemy snipers can eliminate opposing threats immediately.
  • Chip Slots: Use resistance chips to reduce incoming elemental burst damage or equip crowd-control resistance chips to prevent stun and silence effects from disabling defensive actions.

Stabling Priorities

Stabling duplicate copies of Stratos increases its base stats and augment transfer bonuses, but crafting multiple mythic familiars requires heavy resource investment.

  1. Base Craft (0/5 Stable): A single copy of Mythic Stratos is fully functional out of the box and provides immediate bait tank utility over lower-tier options.
  2. Account Progression: Focus your energy on farming core gear and upgrades for your main character before attempting duplicate mythic crafts.
  3. Full Stable (5/5 Stable): Reserve duplicate Stratos fusions for late-game optimization when pushing competitive leaderboards and guild events.
