To defeat Artificial Hollow White in the story mode of BLEACH Mirrors High, dodge laterally past its forward claw lunges, avoid attacking while its super armor is active, and punish its long post-attack recovery windows. White has high melee tracking in straight lines, so retreating backward will cause you to take damage. Evading diagonally forward or directly to the sides places you behind the boss, where you can safely break its poise.

Boss Attacks and Telegraph Windows

Artificial Hollow White uses three primary attacks. Because the boss does not pause between standard movements, watch its windup animations closely to choose the correct defensive response.

Defensive Tactics and Super Armor Rules

Trading hits directly with Artificial Hollow White will deplete your squad's health rapidly. White maintains uninterrupted super armor throughout all of its active offensive animations. Light attacks and low-stagger skills cannot interrupt its momentum.

  • Dodge laterally, never backward: White’s claw sweeps cover massive forward distance. Back-dodging leaves your character inside the hitboxes of the second and third slashes. Dodging sideways slips past the attack cone, and White cannot redirect its angle mid-animation.
  • Preserve dodge stamina: Avoid rolling while White is idling or circling. Burning stamina prematurely leaves you unable to evade the high-damage shockwave of the Leaping Overhead Slam.
  • Control the center of the arena: Fighting near perimeter walls can distort the camera angle, making the aerial descent of the Leaping Slam hard to see. Keep your fighter positioned in open space.
  • Use defensive cover changes: If White catches your active fighter with the first strike of a combo, immediately tap a reserve teammate's icon. This triggers a switch-in strike, breaks the boss's combo lock, and provides temporary invulnerability frames to protect your primary damage dealer.

How to Punish Recovery and Break Poise

Once White finishes either its triple slash or landing slam, its super armor drops for two to three seconds. This pause is your window to deplete its white stagger gauge.

  1. Bait and Evade: Lure White into triggering its Triple Claw Lunge or Leaping Slam. Dodge behind the boss on the final attack frame.
  2. Deplete Poise: Strike White's back using heavy Zanpakuto skills and high-stagger abilities to quickly empty the poise gauge beneath its health bar.
  3. Burst During the Broken State: When the stagger bar empties, White drops to one knee for five to six seconds. All boss actions stop, and damage taken is amplified.
  4. Discharge Ultimates: Unleash awakenings and high-cost ultimate bursts exclusively during this knockdown. Firing narrow-beam or unguided ultimates while White is mobile often causes them to miss due to its erratic lunges.
  5. Disengage Before the Burst: When White stands up, watch for its chest cavity to glow. Step out of the Hogyoku Reiatsu Burst radius and reset your combat loop.
