To pull off a Super Monkey spam strategy in Bloons TD Battles, pair the Super Monkey with the Banana Farm and Dart Monkey. Because a base Super Monkey costs $3,500 and cannot pop Lead or Camo bloons, you must hold off early sends using minimal Dart Monkey defense, snowball your Banana Farms, and transition into mass 2-3 Robo-Monkeys after surviving mid-game rushes.

1. Early-Game Setup and Farm Snowballing

Place a single Dart Monkey near the entrance and immediately begin building Banana Farms. Spending too much cash on early defense stalls your income, while spending too little causes you to leak lives.

  • Rounds 1–3: Hold spaced red and blue bloons with a 0-0 or 0-2 Dart Monkey.
  • Rounds 4–7: Establish two 1-0 or 2-0 Banana Farms. Upgrade your Dart Monkey to a 0-3 Triple Darts or a 3-0 Spike-o-pult only when grouped green and yellow bloons threaten to leak.
  • Rounds 8–11: Upgrade your lead farm to a 3-0 Banana Plantation to accelerate your cash reserves.
  • Rounds 14–18: Upgrade to a 4-0 Banana Republic or buy additional Plantations before purchasing your first Super Monkey.

If an unexpected rush forces emergency defense, sell a Banana Plantation immediately for lump-sum cash to buy defensive upgrades or drop an emergency tower.

2. Surviving Mid-Game Rushes (Rounds 11–18)

Rounds 11 through 18 are the primary failure point. Skilled opponents will check your loadout and attempt to end the match with Round 13 regrow Zebra or Rainbow rushes before your Super Monkeys arrive.

Do not drop a raw 0-0 Super Monkey to stop grouped mid-game rushes. Instead, rely on these tools:

  • 4-0 Juggernaut: Place down a straight track line to rip through dense Ceramic shells and Lead bloons.
  • 0-3 Triple Darts: Maintain at least two to clean up leaking bloon layers.
  • Tower Boost: Activate a boost when the opponent sends an all-out regrow rush instead of over-investing in permanent defense beforehand.

Keep your early Dart Monkeys active even after Round 18. Super Monkeys have no innate Camo detection, leaving your defense vulnerable to Camo Lead sends if all Camo-capable dart towers are sold.

3. Mass Deploying and Microing Robo-Monkeys

Once your farm economy produces stable surplus cash past Round 16, start massing Super Monkeys along the track. Focus on the 2-3 Robo-Monkey upgrade path, which offers high projectile density and independent arm controls.

UpgradePrimary FunctionRole in Spam Build
1-0 Laser BlastsIncreases bloon pierceClears dense pink and black clusters.
2-0 Plasma BlastsPops Leads; increases attack rateCore damage upgrade against armored bloons.
x-2 Epic RangeExpands attack radiusCreates overlapping fields of fire across track loops.
2-3 Robo-MonkeyAdds dual arms with split targetingPrimary late-game workhorse against BFBs and ZOMGs.

Targeting Micro

Robo-Monkeys possess two separately targetable arms. To prevent projectile waste:

  1. Set the first arm to Strong so it constantly chips away at incoming MOABs, BFBs, and ZOMGs.
  2. Set the second arm to First or Close to eliminate fast Ceramics and child bloons before they exit the choke point.

Mass Super Monkeys vs. Sun Temple

Building mass Robo-Monkeys costs roughly $4,000 to $12,000 per stage, allowing you to scale defense incrementally without dropping your board presence. A Sun Temple requires more than $100,000 in upfront capital and tower sacrifices, creating a lethal window of vulnerability during the transition. However, Super Monkeys have large hitboxes that can quickly run out of room on smaller maps, making track space management your ultimate stopping point.
