Use save states in Castlevania Anniversary Collection to practice difficult sections without replaying as much of a stage. Save before a risky stretch or boss encounter, then reload that state to retry the section.
Practice difficult sections with save states
- Make a save state before the part you want to practice.
- Attempt the section and note where you take damage or lose a life.
- Reload the save state and try the section again.
For a boss encounter, save before the room transition if you want to focus your practice on the fight. For a risky platforming section, save before attempting it so a failed jump does not require replaying as much of the stage.
Use this approach to work on specific problem areas. It does not remove the need to learn the game’s movement or enemy patterns, but it lets you retry the same stretch more directly.

This saved me time in the early game.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
The tips are practical and easy to follow.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
