To achieve 200.6% map completion in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, you must acquire Alucard's three primary movement relics and physically step into every room tile across both the Normal Castle and the Inverted Castle. Uncovering every segment requires breaking hidden walls, clearing water-filled passages, and filling out incomplete tile edges.

Essential Transformation Relics

Map progression is strictly gated by movement abilities. Collect these three transformation relics to navigate vertical shafts, narrow gaps, and high ceilings:

  • Soul of Bat: Located in the Long Library. Grants flight, allowing you to reach high-ceiling shafts and map boundaries.
  • Power of Mist: Located in the Colosseum. Allows Alucard to pass through iron grates and barred doorways.
  • Soul of Wolf: Located in the Outer Wall. Enables fast dash movement and passage through low horizontal tunnels.

Finding Hidden Rooms and Breakable Walls

Secret rooms do not reveal themselves until you break their entrance walls and step inside. Use these techniques to locate obscured areas in both castle maps:

  1. Strike Suspicious Geometry: Use long-range sub-weapons like the Axe to hit high ceiling sections and wall textures your standard sword swing cannot reach. Listen for a distinct impact sound indicating a wall is breakable.
  2. Watch Enemy Patterns: Observe foes that appear to float or walk through solid environmental boundaries, as their path frequently reveals hidden corridors.
  3. Check Mirrored Layouts: Many breakable walls in the Inverted Castle mirror the exact secret wall placements from the Normal Castle.

Clearing Missing Map Tiles

A room only registers on your map grid once Alucard's hit-box directly occupies the tile. If your completion percentage stalls below 200.6%, check your map screen for jagged borders or uncolored room squares, then re-examine these key regions:

  • The Clock Room: Re-visit the center room to verify all floor and ceiling mechanisms have been activated and entered.
  • Reverse Caverns and Catacombs: Transform into the Soul of Bat to trace the outer edges, high ceilings, and water-filled floors of these expansive rooms.
  • Final Dungeon Corridors: Fly into every corner of the final corridor rooms before the end zone to ensure no border pixels are left blank. Avoid skip glitches, as bypassing physical room triggers will prevent the game from awarding tile credit.
