Supercell has acknowledged eight distinct client-side and server-side interface bugs following the launch of the Clash of Clans UI overhaul. Reinstalling the game or clearing your device cache will not fix these problems. To prevent accidental gem spending and combat disruptions while awaiting upcoming patches, slow down your menu taps and restart your game before launching war attacks.

The 8 Acknowledged Interface Bugs

The redesign consolidated army training, builder management, and social panels into new flyout drawers, but cross-resolution scaling and input registration errors surfaced immediately. Supercell confirmed that the following eight glitches require targeted hotfixes:

Donation HitboxesQuick-donation hitboxes overlap standard troop slotsTapping standard troop donations can accidentally trigger one-gem donations
Builder Suggestion OverlapSuggested upgrade pop-ups collide with Town Hall detailsInputs register on background structures or open "Finish Now" gem dialogues

How to Prevent Accidental Gem and Resource Loss

Misaligned hitboxes in the flyout menus pose an immediate risk of accidental currency loss. In the Clan Castle donation window, the button hitboxes float slightly offset from their visual boundaries. Tapping a normal troop slot can register as a tap on the adjacent one-gem donation button, rapidly burning gems during active donation runs.

A related input delay affects the reorganized Builder menu. Tapping an upgrade recommendation can register on an underlying structure instead, or prompt a costly gem completion window if all builders are busy.

To safeguard your resources until hotfixes arrive:

  • Pause for one full second before tapping confirmation prompts inside the Builder menu.
  • Avoid rapid double-tapping when filling troop requests in the Clan Chat drawer.
  • Check your actual balance in storage buildings directly if the top-bar resource counts fail to animate.

Protecting Clan War and CWL Attacks

War navigation currently suffers from client hangs during screen transitions. Toggling between scouting enemy bases and the war map frequently produces a persistent black screen. If this occurs immediately before or during an attack deployment, it forces an app crash.

Use this sequence to prevent transition freezes before taking an attack:

  1. Scout your target base to plan your troop deployment.
  2. Force-close the Clash of Clans application completely.
  3. Relaunch the game client.
  4. Open the Clan War map directly.
  5. Launch your attack without opening intermediate menu tabs.

Because unread chat notifications are currently broken, do not rely on red badge pips to alert you to pending troop requests. Coordinate critical war donations through external clan chats or manually check the Clan Chat drawer before entering war attacks.

Hotfix Deployment Process

Supercell is not reverting the new interface layout. The updated bottom navigation bar and builder ledger are permanent structural additions designed for future Town Hall expansions.

Fixes will arrive across two phases:

  • Server-side maintenance breaks: Address back-end data desynchronization, such as resource tally updates and Clan War map disconnects. These resolve automatically without requiring an app download.
  • Optional client updates: Deploy through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to correct physical button hitboxes, notch offsets, and tablet screen aspect ratios.

Check your platform's app store daily and download any optional Clash of Clans update as soon as it appears to resolve these interface errors.
