To win with an Elixir Golem beatdown deck in Clash Royale, play defensively throughout single elixir and build a full deathball push during double and triple elixir. Because destroying an Elixir Golem awards your opponent 4 elixir, an unsupported early attack will leave you open to a lethal counter-push. Instead, absorb minor tower damage early, preserve your elixir, and assemble overlapping healing and chain-stun units to push through the Princess Tower and King Tower in one sequence.

Deck List and Card Roles

This archetype relies on Battle Healer aura stacking, chain stuns, and spell acceleration to keep troops alive while overwhelming the opponent's defenses.

CardElixir CostTactical Role
Elixir Golem3Frontline damage sponge that draws defensive targeting away from support troops.
Battle Healer4Primary sustain engine; passive and on-hit healing restores surrounding units.
Electro Dragon5Three-target chain stun that resets Inferno beams and clears swarms.
Phoenix4Heavy single-target air damage dealer that provides a respawn threat on breach.
Barbarian Barrel2Low-cost ground clear, distraction, and defense against ranged snipers.
Tornado3Pulls defenders into Electro Dragon chains and clusters enemies within healing reach.
Rage2Increases troop attack speed, accelerating Battle Healer's strike and healing rate.
Heal Spirit1Low-cost burst heal to cycle cards and keep Battle Healers alive through heavy spells.

Match Strategy and Timing

Single Elixir: Defend and Conserve

Do not deploy Elixir Golem in the first two minutes of the match. In single elixir, elixir regenerates too slowly to support the golem with both Battle Healer and Electro Dragon. Gifting the opponent 4 elixir without an established backline will cost you a Princess Tower.

  1. Play reactively using Barbarian Barrel, Phoenix, and Battle Healer behind your Princess Towers to diffuse early threats.
  2. Accept 500 to 1,000 hit points of chip damage on your Princess Towers rather than spending extra elixir on awkward defenses.
  3. Track the opponent’s defensive counters, splash units, and spell cycle.

Double and Triple Elixir: The Deathball Push

Begin your push from the back of the arena once double elixir starts:

  1. Start the Healer: Place Battle Healer behind your King Tower to let your elixir regenerate as she approaches the bridge.
  2. Deploy the Frontline: Drop Elixir Golem at the river directly in front of the Battle Healer.
  3. Add Air Support: Place Electro Dragon and Phoenix behind the push.
  4. Accelerate with Spells: Drop Rage over the cluster as it engages defensive troops. The increased attack speed multiplies the healing frequency of the Battle Healers, neutralizing incoming damage from spells like Fireball or Poison.
  5. Use Tornado: Pull defending units directly onto the enemy Princess Tower so Electro Dragon's chain lightning hits the troops and the crown tower simultaneously.
  6. Push to King Tower: When the Princess Tower falls, deploy reinforcements straight into the King Tower pocket rather than switching lanes.

Handling Common Defensive Counters

Opponents rely on high single-target damage or piercing splash to dismantle this push:

  • Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon: Keep Electro Dragon centered behind the Elixir Golem. Its multi-target stun continuously resets Inferno damage ramps.
  • P.E.K.K.A and Mini P.E.K.K.A: Stack multiple Battle Healers and Phoenix around the tank buster. Concentrated healing keeps the frontline alive while Phoenix handles single-target damage.
  • Executioner and Bowler: These units pierce through your tank and damage your backline. Cast Tornado to pull them to the side, forcing them to attack at an angle that avoids your support units.
  • Mega Knight and Valkyrie: Their area-of-effect damage is low enough that a raged Battle Healer will out-heal the incoming damage, using these units as targets to trigger continuous healing pulses.

Responding to Opposite-Lane Pressure

When your push connects, the opponent gains bonus elixir as the Elixir Golem breaks down. If the opponent uses this elixir to drop a win condition like Hog Rider or Royal Hogs in the opposite lane during double elixir, ignore it.

Diverting elixir away from your main lane stops your push from reaching critical mass. Keep your elixir focused on Rage, Heal Spirit, and Tornado at the King's Tower. A fully supported Elixir Golem deathball takes the King Tower faster than an isolated runner can take a second Princess Tower.
