To reach 20 wins in Clash Royale challenge events with Giant Graveyard, play defensively throughout single elixir, secure positive trades on your side of the arena, and immediately deploy Giant at the river ahead of surviving troops. Once the enemy Crown Tower targets your Giant, cast Graveyard on the tower and hover small spells to eliminate swarms.
Giant Graveyard Deck List and Card Roles
This build relies on sturdy defensive units that survive cheap removal, allowing you to turn defensive stops into lethal counter-attacks.
| Card | Primary Function | Deployment Role |
|---|---|---|
| Giant | Primary tank | Deployed at the river directly in front of surviving defenders |
| Graveyard | Primary win condition | Placed on the target Crown Tower as Giant takes tower fire |
| Bowler | Ground control and knockback | Repels swarms, pushes back medium brawlers, and stops Ram Rider |
| Little Prince | Anti-air and tank defense | Safe backline damage; Royal Rescue provides instant knockback |
| Guards | Shielded distraction | Absorbs single-target strikes from P.E.K.K.A or Prince without dying to spells |
| Arrows | Area swarm removal | Clears Minions, Dart Goblins, and Firecrackers |
| Giant Snowball | Retargeting, knockback, and slow | Pushes defenders away from skeletons and resets Inferno units |
| Tombstone | Building pull and lane delay | Center placement (3–3 or 4–2) to lure building-targeting units |
Single Elixir Defense and Opening Moves
Giant Graveyard is strictly a counter-attack deck during the first two minutes of a match. Initiating with an early, unsupported Giant or a raw Graveyard wastes five elixir and leaves you defenseless against an opposite-lane assault.
Keep your early plays reactive:
- Cycle Tombstone first: Place it in the center, three tiles up from your King Tower, to scout the opponent's strategy and pull early runners.
- Alternative opening cycles: If Tombstone is not in your opening hand, cycle Guards behind your King Tower or place Little Prince in the back corner behind a Crown Tower.
- Absorb damage on your side: Let your Princess Towers help clear incoming units like Hog Rider or Royal Hogs alongside Bowler or Tombstone.
- Bank your elixir: If you defend successfully but drop below five elixir, do not add a Giant at the bridge. Let the surviving defensive troops walk forward on their own and bank your elixir advantage for double elixir.
Executing the Bridge Counter-Push
Your main offensive push begins the moment your defensive cards finish clearing a threat and march toward the river.
- Deploy Giant at the river: Place Giant directly in front of advancing troops just as they touch the bridge. The enemy Crown Tower must acquire the Giant as its target instead of your defensive survivors.
- Cast Graveyard on the outer tower tile: Deploy Graveyard roughly one second after the tower locks onto the Giant. Offset the circle one tile toward the outside arena wall to avoid accidentally activating the opponent's King Tower.
- Hover your spell: Keep Giant Snowball or Arrows selected immediately. Opponents must react within two seconds or lose the tower to mounting skeleton damage.
This deployment forces opponents to divide their resources. Defending the Giant allows skeletons to overwhelm the Crown Tower, while dropping swarms on the Graveyard leaves them vulnerable to your trailing Bowler, Little Prince, and follow-up spells.
Spell Timing and Target Priorities
Using spells incorrectly can stall your push and waste your elixir lead. Use each spell for its dedicated function:
- Giant Snowball: Aim directly at the Crown Tower when defending units like Goblins, Bats, or Archer Queen appear. Snowball damages and slows the tower, slows defensive units, and knocks melee defenders away from your skeletons. Snowball also resets the charging beams of Inferno Dragons and Inferno Towers, allowing your Giant to stay alive longer.
- Arrows: Hold Arrows for bait cards and airborne threats, including Minion Horde, Goblin Gang, and Evolution Firecracker. In double and triple elixir, you can pre-fire Arrows if the opponent consistently uses the same swarm card to answer your Graveyard.
Adjusting for Difficult Matchups
Heavy Tanks and P.E.K.K.A
Never send a Giant into the same lane as a full-health enemy tank during single elixir.
Anchor the middle of the field with a high Tombstone placement to pull Golem, Electro Giant, or P.E.K.K.A into the firing range of both Crown Towers. Surround single-target attackers with Guards to absorb hits, and place Bowler slightly to the side to bowl through supporting troops. Use Little Prince from a distance to whittle down the tank. Only commit Graveyard to the counter-push after the opponent's P.E.K.K.A is confirmed out of rotation.
Poison Decks
Poison is the most reliable defensive answer to Graveyard because its area damage continuously clears skeletons.
Against Poison users, shift your win condition toward Giant beatdown damage. Group Bowler and Little Prince behind the Giant to create a dense ground push. This forces the opponent to spend four elixir dropping Poison defensively on your main wave. As soon as their Poison is spent, launch an unsupported bridge Graveyard in the opposite lane, or capitalize on their depleted elixir pool to take down the tower.
