To complete Merge Island in Coin Master, focus your generator energy exclusively on active item requests instead of building random high-tier items. Prioritize unlocking cobwebbed tiles early to create working space, and fulfill active orders sequentially to fill the event progress bar before time runs out.

How Merge Island Mechanics Work

Merge Island uses a dedicated grid separate from the main slot reel. You consume event energy—marked by lightning bolt icons—to tap stationary generators (spawners). These generators spawn level-one or level-two base items onto adjacent empty squares. Merging two matching items combines them into a single item of the next tier in that chain.

Because grid space is limited, spawning items without a specific target quickly clutters the board. Keep the roles of each board element in mind:

ElementRole on the BoardPriority
GeneratorsConsume energy to spawn base itemsTap only to fulfill current order requirements
Active ItemsMovable pieces that merge into higher tiersGroup identical chains together to preserve space
Cobwebbed ItemsLocked items fixed to specific tilesUnlock early by merging matching active items onto them
OrdersSpecific item requests from charactersComplete to gain progress points, energy, coins, and spins

Clear Cobwebbed Tiles First

At the start of the event, grayed-out, cobwebbed items lock down much of the grid. You cannot move, tap, or sell cobwebbed items. They can only be unlocked by dragging an identical active piece directly onto their square.

Make unlocking these spaces your top priority early on. When a generator drops a piece that matches a cobwebbed item, merge into the locked square rather than combining two free pieces on open ground. Clearing cobwebbed tiles permanently opens board space, reducing the risk of being forced to delete lower-tier items just to make room.

Energy Management and Generator Discipline

Event energy recharges over time up to a set cap, but passive regeneration alone is not enough to clear the entire island. The rest of your energy comes from completing order tasks, opening reward chests, and hitting milestones in main slot events.

To avoid wasting energy:

  • Keep energy generating: Spend energy before your bar reaches maximum capacity so the passive recharge timer does not pause.
  • Focus on one chain at a time: If a generator produces components for multiple item lines, stop tapping once you have the pieces required for your current target order.
  • Leave buffer space: Ensure you have four or five empty tiles before you tap a generator so newly dropped pieces have room to land and merge.
  • Bank reward claims: If a side task or milestone awards bonus energy, claim it only after you have emptied your active bar below the cap.

Target Active Orders Instead of Max-Tier Items

Event progress advances only when you turn in completed orders. Merging items into top-tier objects provides no progress points if no character is currently requesting that specific item.

Check your active order queue before spending energy. When an order requests low- or mid-tier items, target those first. Completing quick, lower-tier requests clears order slots and rewards immediate energy or coins, which helps you build the higher-tier items required for later milestones.

Sync Event Play with Main Game Spins

The energy needed for late-stage Merge Island milestones relies heavily on tournament rewards, spin machine milestones, and side events on the main reel.

Save your heavy spin sessions for times when Coin Master offers Merge Island energy or spawner chests as milestone rewards. When you win energy bundles through raid or attack events, spend that energy immediately on your targeted merge orders to keep board momentum steady through the end of the event.
