To clear level 180 in Colony Flow!, route your longest color paths around the outer edges of the grid first and resolve trapped nodes before placing short connections in the center.

Route Outer Edges First

The layout of level 180 fills quickly if you complete short, central matches right away. To preserve working space across the board, focus on distant color nodes at the start of the puzzle.

  • Map long-distance routes along outer edges: Wrap your longest paths around the perimeter of the grid to keep central tiles accessible for other colors.
  • Clear restricted nodes early: Locate color endpoints tucked behind other tiles and connect them immediately. Leaving isolated nodes for the end of the puzzle leads to blocked routes.
  • Avoid unnecessary U-shaped loops: Draw direct paths along tile boundaries. Curving a line back on itself consumes open space without advancing your route to its destination.

Manage Central Grid Corridors

Crossing through the center of the grid early cuts the board in half and blocks opposite color nodes from reaching their destinations.

  • Keep paths tightly grouped: When a path must pass through the middle of the board, run subsequent paths parallel to it. Tight corridors preserve large blocks of empty space.
  • Check negative space continuously: Before completing a line, verify that remaining tiles leave open channels for every unmapped color.
  • Undo restrictive lines: If a color node becomes isolated by a newly placed route, step back and adjust the path immediately rather than forcing an obstructed line.

Following this pathing order prevents grid bottlenecks and keeps ant lines clear to reveal the completed pixel art puzzle.
