To clear Level 2657 in Colony Flow!, route the unobstructed outer boundary paths first before moving any interior worker ant lines. Rushing through the center cuts off perimeter lanes and causes irreversible traffic jams. Clearing the outer ring creates the turning space needed to untangle the tightly packed central cluster without wasting boosters.
Path Routing Order
Success on Level 2657 depends on strict sequencing rather than speed. Before drawing any lines, trace paths backward from the target drop points to the starting chambers. Identify which color has an open boundary lane that does not intersect other pending routes.
Execute your moves in this order:
- Perimeter Lines: Draw paths for exterior ants along the outside wall tiles to deliver them directly to their matching nests.
- Secondary Feeder Lines: Route colors located just inside the outer boundary, using the newly opened perimeter-adjacent space to hook around interior blockers.
- Core Crossway Lines: Direct the primary central lane ants through the main intersection only after their exit corridors have fully cleared.
- Adjacent Deposits: Connect the remaining short-distance color clusters directly into their neighbouring nests.
Treat every shared intersection as a single-lane bridge. Wait until one color line has completely vacated a junction before sending a second color through that same tile to avoid crossing paths.
Untangling the Central Knot
The main obstacle in Level 2657 is the central cluster, where multiple colors are tightly intertwined.
- Peel from the outside in: Remove the outermost layer of the knot first to expose inner chambers one color at a time.
- Keep paths tight: Draw minimal-step routes that hug cleared tiles instead of making wide loops. Wide loops can encircle unrouted colonies and trap them behind impassable lines.
- Preserve exit tiles: When two routing options exist for an interior color, choose the path that leaves open adjacent tiles leading toward the remaining unrouted nests.
When to Reset vs. Use Boosters
A board is in deadlock if an unrouted ant colony is fully enclosed by drawn lines with no empty adjacent grid squares remaining.
- Restart manually if a deadlock occurs during your first few moves. Examine the tile where the path crossed or created a wall, then adjust your line by one tile to the left or right on the retry.
- Use a reroute booster only if you have already cleared at least 80 percent of the board and need a single path adjustment to finish the puzzle.
