To clear Level 79 in CubeAway, you must dismantle the tilted U-block from the outside inward. Clear the unobstructed exterior arrows at the tips of the vertical arms before touching the congested inner channel or base. Tapping inward-pointing cubes early causes them to collide with the opposing arm and waste moves. Peeling the outer shell first opens up exit lanes so you can untangle the arms and the curved bottom junction without jamming the board.

Structure of the Tilted U-Block

The puzzle consists of two upright parallel arms connected by a dense curved base. Because the entire structure is presented at an angled tilt, arrow directions can easily be misread. The layout is divided into three key clearing zones:

  • Upper Arm Terminals: The top ends of both vertical arms, where outer arrows point away from the puzzle into open space.
  • Vertical Shafts: The parallel upright sections containing inward-facing cubes that directly block one another across the narrow center gap, as well as upward-pointing cubes within the channel.
  • Curved Base: The dense foundation where cubes face downward and inward along the bottom curve.

Step-by-Step Clearing Sequence

Rotate your camera continuously to verify whether an arrow's path is completely clear of adjacent geometry before tapping it.

1. Strip the Outer Arm Tips and Flanks

Begin by rotating the camera to view the puzzle from a shallow side angle rather than the default tilted view. Identify the arrows pointing directly outward into empty space.

  1. Tap the cubes at the highest point of each arm that point straight up, left, or right away from the structure.
  2. Work downward along the outer left and right flanks, removing exterior cubes facing outward.
  3. Rotate the board 180 degrees and clear the matching outer flank on the opposite arm.
  4. Stop as soon as the remaining visible cubes point inward toward the opposite arm or downward into the foundation.

2. Dismantle the Vertical Shafts

With the exterior shell stripped, you can now clear the inner channel without triggering collisions.

  1. Inspect the inner slot between the two vertical arms for cubes pointing straight up. Because the top terminal pieces were removed in Step 1, these cubes now have an unobstructed vertical exit path.
  2. Tap the upward-pointing inner cubes to remove them from the channel.
  3. Tap the horizontal cubes that face inward across the gap. They will shoot cleanly through the empty space left behind by the cleared sections of the opposing arm.
  4. Alternate between arms as space opens up until both vertical uprights are fully eliminated.

3. Clear the Curved Base Junction

After the two vertical shafts are gone, only the curved bottom foundation remains.

  1. Rotate the camera to view the base from slightly underneath.
  2. Tap the cubes at the bottom outer corners that point straight downward into open board space.
  3. Clear the remaining base blocks by working inward from the outer corners toward the center of the curve, following arrows that point horizontally into the vacated corner spaces.

Common Failure Points to Avoid

  • Premature Inward Taps: Never tap an arrow pointing across the central slot while the opposite arm is still standing. It will hit the opposite wall and fail.
  • Attacking the Base Too Early: Leaving the upright arms in place blocks the downward flight lines of the base cubes. Keep the base untouched until both vertical shafts are completely gone.
  • Static Camera Angles: The isometric tilt obscures arrow flight lines behind the curved corners. Rotate the view after every few moves to confirm that the path behind a target block is empty.
