In Dislyte, Alexa (Meta Aphrodite) functions as a reactive Controller who neutralizes high-damage threats by applying Charm, forcing affected enemies to attack her while reflecting a portion of their incoming damage back at them. To use her effectively, build her with high survivability and Speed so she can apply Charm before opposing damage dealers take their turns, and pair her with defensive supports to ensure she survives incoming attacks.

How Charm and Damage Reflection Work

Unlike standard Controllers that rely on stuns, freezes, or Action Point (AP) suppression to stop enemy actions entirely, Meta Alexa allows opponents to take turns under controlled conditions.

  • Target Redirection: The Charm debuff overrides an enemy's target selection. Charmed units must strike Alexa directly, preventing single-target burst carries from targeting fragile allies.
  • Turn Disruption: Forcing an enemy into a basic attack on Alexa wastes their offensive cooldowns and desynchronizes enemy burst combos.
  • Damage Reflection: When struck while her reflection mechanic is active, Alexa returns a portion of that damage back to the attacker. Because this damage scales off the incoming strike, high-damage glass cannons punish themselves when attacking her.

To secure an elimination via reflection, Alexa must survive the hit. If the incoming damage knocks her out, the offensive trade fails.

Stat and Gear Priorities

Meta Alexa does not require Attack or Critical Damage to eliminate enemies. Her gear must prioritize bulk, turn cycling, and debuff reliability.

StatPriorityPurpose
HP% / DEF%HighExpands her total health pool and mitigation so she can survive focused attacks from Charmed carries.
SpeedHighAllows her to act before enemy damage dealers deploy their opening burst rotations.
AccuracyModerate to HighEnsures Charm bypasses enemy Resistance, particularly on frontline bruisers and supports.

Focus on HP%, DEF%, and Speed on bottom-row gear slots. For equipment sets, select options that provide damage reduction, initial shields, maximum health boosts, or accelerated turn cycling. Avoid offensive damage sets, as squishy builds prevent her from sustaining multiple combat rounds.

Team Synergies and Matchups

Because Alexa intentionally draws enemy fire, her team composition must keep her alive and remove obstacles that block her debuff.

  • Defensive Supports and Healers: Espers providing continuous healing, shields, defense buffs, or damage redistribution keep Alexa above lethal thresholds while she absorbs hits.
  • Buff Strippers: Controllers or supports that dispel enemy Immunity buffs are essential. Without buff removal, Alexa cannot land Charm against Immunity-reliant setups.
  • Secondary Damage Dealers: Allied carries help clean up enemy threats that survive the initial reflected damage.

Favorable Matchups

  • Single-Target Nukers: High-crit, single-target carries risk eliminating themselves against Alexa's damage reflection.
  • Counter-Attack Teams: Teams that rely on predictable direct attacks trigger consistent reflection backlash.

Difficult Matchups

  • Immunity Engines: Teams with continuous Immunity buffs prevent Alexa from landing Charm unless paired with dedicated dispellers.
  • AP Suppression: High-speed control teams that continuously drain AP can lock Alexa out before she establishes her defensive presence.
  • Buff Purgers: Opponents that cleanse debuffs or strip team shields undermine her survivability and crowd control loop.
