Following his balance adjustment in Dislyte, Elliot (Thoth) shifts from an attack-dependent hybrid into a frontline controller whose damage scales directly with his own Max HP. The update adds Taunt to every active ability in his kit, allowing him to continuously redirect enemy focus while resetting opponent cooldowns. To build the updated Elliot effectively, drop all Attack investments and prioritize Max HP, Speed, and Accuracy (ACC).
How the Max HP Scaling Rework Changes Elliot
Prior to this balance update, Elliot suffered from split stat demands. He required survivability to absorb incoming attacks, high Accuracy to land control debuffs, and Attack stats if players wanted him to deal chip damage.
Adjusting Elliot’s damage output to scale directly with his Max HP resolves this stat division:
- Offense and Defense Unification: Every relic roll into HP% raises both Elliot's total damage output and his bulk.
- Higher Floor and Ceiling: He survives cleave attacks and counterattacks without sacrificing threat level against frail damage dealers.
- Streamlined Relic Tuning: Relic builds no longer require offensive flat Attack or Attack percentage stats to contribute offensive pressure.
Skill Kit: Continuous Taunts and Cooldown Resets
The rework places Taunt across Elliot's entire active moveset, removing the downtime typical of single-target tanks in Dislyte. Taunted targets are forced to use their basic abilities exclusively on Elliot, preventing them from using area-of-effect nukes or setup skills.
| Ability | Primary Effects | Tactical Application |
|---|---|---|
| Skill 1 (Basic) | Single-target strike with Taunt | Extends lockdown on basic turns without burning cooldowns |
| Skill 2 | Utility disruption with Taunt | Maintains pressure and interrupts secondary setup threats |
| Skill 3 | Single-target lock, skill cooldown reset, and Taunt | Resets key skills to maximum cooldown and forces basic attacks on Elliot |
Tactical Application for Skill 3
To get the most value from Elliot's Skill 3, target the opponent's core engine immediately. Landing this skill on primary carries or critical controllers—such as Gaius or Leora—resets their cooldowns to maximum and forces them into basic attacks against an HP-heavy target.
Targeting resistance can prevent this shutdown. Elliot needs 60% to 80% Accuracy to consistently bypass high-Resistance builds in competitive modes.
Gear Sets and Relic Stat Priorities
Elliot benefits most from equipment that accelerates his turns, increases control consistency, and scales his health pool. Avoid standard offensive sets like War or Thunder.
Recommended Relic Sets
- Primary Sets (4-Piece):
- Wind: Grants bonus Speed to outpace mid-speed threats and land Skill 3 before the enemy team acts.
- Ocean: Provides chances to reduce cooldowns, helping Elliot cycle his Skill 3 reset and Skill 2 disruption more frequently.
- Frost: Exploits the Taunt mechanic by forcing enemies to strike Elliot, triggering potential Freezes against attackers.
- Secondary Sets (2-Piece):
- Apollo’s Bow: Grants an immediate 25% Accuracy boost, lowering the substat burden needed to reach the 60%–80% Accuracy threshold.
- Grove: Increases total HP% to boost survivability and damage simultaneously.
Primary Stat Selection
- Mui II (Boots): Speed or HP%
- Una IV (Ring): HP%
- Una II (Headphones): HP% or Accuracy (if lacking Accuracy substats)
Substat Priority: Speed > HP% > Accuracy > Defense%
Team Synergies and PvP Deployment
Elliot operates best in bruiser shells, targeted counter-pick situations, and single-target lockdown setups across Point War, Knockout, and RTA (Warm-Up Match). He is not designed for fast multi-target wave clearing, but rather to neutralize single hyper-carries.
- Cleanse Supports: Pair Elliot with cleansers like Jin Yuyao, Clara, or Heng Yue. Because Elliot draws focused fire through Taunt, maintaining immunity against incoming Freezes or Stuns keeps him active.
- Damage Mitigation and Shields: Adding shielding allies keeps Elliot comfortably above lethal thresholds while he absorbs forced hits from taunted enemies.
- Focus Priority: Deploy Elliot into enemy teams heavily reliant on one main damage engine. Disabling that engine on turn one gives your team tempo control for the remainder of the match.

Good guide for Dislyte players. The strategy part was useful.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
This saved me time in the early game.
This helped me understand strategy much better.
