In Dislyte, Tetsuya (Akuru) is a single-target Fighter whose attacks automatically target the enemy standing in the corresponding formation slot. To use him effectively, align Tetsuya directly opposite the opponent's primary damage dealer, action-point pusher, or squishy support during the pre-battle preparation phase.

How Corresponding-Position Targeting Works

Standard Dislyte battles arrange squads in five numbered slots. Unlike typical single-target damage dealers who choose targets manually or rely on default automated targeting, Tetsuya directs his offensive focus to the opponent placed in the matching slot index across the field:

  • Slot 1: Targets the enemy in Slot 1.
  • Slot 2: Targets the enemy in Slot 2.
  • Slot 3: Targets the enemy in Slot 3.
  • Slot 4: Targets the enemy in Slot 4.
  • Slot 5: Targets the enemy in Slot 5.

Because his target is fixed by initial placement, you must inspect the opposing team layout before locking in your squad.

Pre-Battle Positioning Strategy

Your formation setup determines whether Tetsuya eliminates a priority threat or stalls out against a defensive wall.

  • Sniping squishy carries: If the opposing team places a frail damage dealer or action-point manipulator in an exterior or central slot, match Tetsuya to that exact slot number to burst them down before they cycle key abilities.
  • Neutralizing sustain: Against defensive compositions, position Tetsuya across from a critical reviver or primary healer to force them to take lethal damage early.
  • Avoiding tank matchups: Do not place Tetsuya directly opposite high-defense tanks, taunters, or Espers carrying damage-sharing or death-prevention mechanics. Absorbing his single-target burst in an unfavorable matchup significantly lowers his offensive value.

Gear Sets and Stat Priorities

To eliminate targets efficiently, Tetsuya requires high offensive burst and sufficient speed to act before the opposing target can put up defensive barriers.

Equipment TypeSet NameStrategic Purpose
Primary (4-Piece)War SetIncreases base Attack to maximize burst damage on initial strikes.
Primary (4-Piece)Wind SetGrants bonus Speed to ensure Tetsuya acts before mid-speed controllers and carries.
Primary (4-Piece)Thunder SetAmplifies Critical Damage for optimized endgame builds with high baseline Critical Rate.
Secondary (2-Piece)Fiery SetSupplies Critical Rate to ensure consistent damage spikes without extreme substat investment.
Secondary (2-Piece)Avatara SetGrants counterattack chances when hit, providing extra poke damage against attackers.
  • Bottom-Row Main Stats: Critical Damage or Attack Percentage on the ring and headphone slots, with Speed on the boots.
  • Substat Priorities: Speed, Critical Rate, Critical Damage, and Attack Percentage.

Team Synergies

Tetsuya relies on fast allies who can set up his target before his turn begins:

  • Action Point (AP) Pushers: Pair Tetsuya with Speed leads and turn-meter pushers so he takes the field before the enemy in his mirrored slot can act.
  • Defense Breakers: An ally who can apply Defense Down to the mirrored slot softens the target for an immediate elimination.
  • Attack Buffers: Reliable Attack Up supporters ensure his single-target skills break through standard defensive baselines.
