How to Judge a New Unit Reveal in DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE

Don’t decide whether to summon from a reveal alone. Wait until you can assess the unit’s skills, fit with your teams, and performance in gameplay; the supplied material does not provide enough information to judge a specific unit.

Check the unit’s role and conditions

Before spending Dragon Stones, review the unit’s passive skills and defensive utility, such as damage reduction or nullification, if applicable. Check which categories the unit can join and whether it offers support your existing teams can use.

Also look for the conditions behind its active skills or transformations. A powerful effect may matter less to your decision if you cannot tell when it activates or whether it fits the content you play.

Look for gameplay that shows practical performance

A reveal may highlight a unit’s presentation without showing enough to evaluate its use in battle. If gameplay showcases are available, check whether they demonstrate:

• How the unit performs in unfavorable slot rotations.
• What its defensive performance looks like, including in no-item runs if shown.
• Whether its active skills or transformations activate during the showcased content.

Check the showcase conditions before drawing conclusions. The draft provides no unit details, test results, or comparison data, so it cannot establish how a particular unit performs at 55% potential or whether it is worth summoning.

Compare the unit with your roster

Ask whether the unit fills a gap in a team you actually use. If you already have coverage for the relevant category or role, that is a reason to weigh the unit’s value against your other needs—not proof that the unit is weak or a banner is a trap.

Until the unit’s kit and relevant gameplay are available, treat a reveal as incomplete information. Make the summon decision after you can assess its role and conditions against your roster.
