Spend earned Legends Coins in the Tavern of Legends portal, but do not spend gems here. The Legends Summon portal in Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG offers access to past Heroes of the Month (HotM) and the rare secret hero Myztero, but the banner odds heavily favor common classic feeders. Small summon sessions should be treated as bonus roster progression rather than a reliable method to obtain top-tier legendary heroes.

Portal Summon Odds and Costs

The Legends Summon costs 100 Legends Coins or 300 gems for a single pull, while a ten-pull costs 2,600 gems. Completing all ten stages of the Tavern of Legends quest awards 210 Legends Coins, allowing you to accumulate two free summons per event cycle.

Gems (10x Pull)2,600 GemsGem Offers and Shop DealsInefficient; older hero base stats trail newer rosters.

Statistically, a small set such as six pulls will yield mostly Season 1 three-star heroes:

  • Rare (3-Star Classic): Comprises the vast majority of all pulls, regularly returning heroes like Bane, Hawkmoon, Ulmer, and Karil.
  • Epic (4-Star Classic): Represents roughly one-fifth of potential summons.
  • Legendary (Past HotM): Features a combined appearance rate just above 1%.
  • Secret Hero (Myztero): Carries an independent bonus appearance rate of 0.1%. Myztero absorbs status ailments cast on him and reflects them to all enemies with his Special Skill, but targeting him specifically is statistically impractical.

Because older HotM units lack modern base stats unless augmented with secondary costumes, emblems, and advanced troops, hard gems offer significantly more value when reserved for newer portals like Challenge Festival, Astral, or Black Friday summons.

When to Spend Legends Coins

Because the Legends Summon portal has no summon chests or milestone thresholds that reward hoarding large reserves, you can spend coins as you get them. Optimize your timing by pulling during rotations that feature past heroes who fill specific utility gaps:

  • Prioritize Mana Control and Utility: Save coins for appearances by heroes such as Hel or durable utility specialists. Pure damage dealers from early HotM generations struggle against modern defensive stats, whereas mana suppression, dispels, and cleanses retain practical use.
  • Target Missing Roles: Check the featured past HotMs for each event rotation and pull only when the featured units provide abilities your active roster lacks.

Managing Summon Results

Expect the majority of your summons to be duplicate units, and funnel them into roster development:

  1. Convert 3-Star Duplicates into Experience: Feed Season 1 three-star heroes like Dawa, Renfeld, and Friar Tuck directly into same-element leveling projects to maximize experience yield and boost Special Skill levels.
  2. Review 4-Star Heroes for War Depth: Before feeding classic four-star units like Rigard, Boldtusk, or Kiril, verify whether you need additional healers for Alliance War depth.
  3. Stash Surplus Epics and Legendaries: If your war teams are complete and you already possess base copies, save duplicate four-star and five-star heroes as future candidates for Soul Exchange tiers.
