To level up quickly in Era of Celestials, focus exclusively on the main storyline quests, reserve your Celestial transformations for chapter bosses, and invest upgrade resources into offensive gear as soon as they unlock. The main campaign provides the highest rate of experience points, unlocking key progression systems such as gear enhancement, mounts, and Elysian forms that keep your Battle Power (BP) ahead of scaling encounters.

Starting Class Clear Speeds

Your initial class selection determines how fast you clear early quest mobs and story instances. The game offers three starting archetypes with distinct combat speeds and area-of-effect (AoE) capabilities.

ClassPrimary RoleEarly Progression Clear Advantage
MageRanged BurstLarge AoE spells eliminate clustered mob packs immediately without repositioning.
ArcherRanged DPSHigh single-target burst burns down early dungeon bosses quickly.
WarriorMelee TankHigh defensive stats allow safe auto-combat without potion management.

The Mage provides the fastest mob clears due to wide-radius magical spells. The Archer clears bosses rapidly with single-target damage, while the Warrior trades slight clear speed for survivability during automated questing. For purely maximizing early clear speed, Mage and Archer offer the fastest progression through early zones.

Optimizing Main Story Quests

Main story quests scale your character far faster than farming open-world mobs or pursuing side tasks. Maintain your leveling momentum by using the integrated quest tracker on the left side of the screen to auto-path between objectives.

Pure automation can slow down your clear times if left completely unattended. Use these adjustments to optimize automated questing:

  • Reposition before casting: The auto-combat system fires abilities on cooldown regardless of enemy spread. Manually guide your character into the center of a mob spawn before triggering rotations to ensure your AoE attacks hit every target.
  • Skip idle timers: Confirm dialogue boxes, reward prompts, and quest turn-ins manually rather than waiting for auto-advance countdowns to expire.
  • Inspect your path: Briefly halt auto-pathing if objective chests or interactive nodes appear directly in your route to grab extra materials.

When to Use Celestial Transformations

Transforming into an Elysian form grants high defensive stats, an alternate ability bar, and substantial damage multipliers. However, transformations are governed by an energy meter built up through combat, making their uptime limited.

  • Do not use transformations on standard trash mobs: Basic class skills are sufficient to wipe standard quest packs, making Elysian activation on normal waves inefficient.
  • Activate on zone bosses and trial elites: Trigger your transformation as soon as you engage a high-health elite. The Elysian's percentage-based damage skills and sweeping attacks bypass prolonged boss mechanics and burn down shields before your normal class cooldowns leave you exposed.

Early Gear Enhancement Priorities

New equipment increases your Battle Power immediately, but raw drops eventually fall behind incoming enemy health pools. Tap the auto-equip prompt whenever higher-rarity gear—such as purple or orange items—drops from story rewards.

When spending gold and upgrade stones in the enhancement interface:

  1. Enhance weapons and rings first: Prioritize offensive slots over armor pieces, as dealing higher damage clears quest stages faster than passive defense.
  2. Upgrade immediately: You do not need to hoard upgrade materials for end-game equipment. Enhancement levels transfer directly into newly equipped replacement gear, preserving the full value of your early materials.
  3. Fill gem sockets: Insert basic gems into open equipment sockets immediately to secure flat bonuses to attack, critical hit rate, and health.

Mount Traversal and Stat Growth

Travel time between remote NPCs, open-world objectives, and dungeon entrances accounts for significant downtime during early acts. Complete the early mount tutorial quest as soon as it appears to obtain your first steed.

Mounts reduce travel times across large maps and grant permanent passive stat boosts to your character profile. Consume all surplus mount growth materials obtained from quest chests immediately to increase your mount's level, raising your movement speed, attack, and defense alongside your main campaign progression.
