To solo a Tier 7 (T7) Inquisitor anomaly in EVE Echoes, immediately establish a 45- to 65-kilometer kiting perimeter away from the entry beacon and destroy elite tackle frigates before engaging heavier ships.
Site Structure and Spawn Mechanics
Tier 7 Inquisitor anomalies appear as scannable cosmic signatures in low-security and null-security systems hosting a local pirate base at Tier 7 or higher. They spawn randomly after pilots clear standard small, medium, and large combat anomalies in the system.
- Gated Pockets: T7 Inquisitors consist of two separate deadspace combat rooms connected by an internal acceleration gate. Hostiles cannot warp directly onto your coordinates inside the pocket; they must land at the external gate first.
- Wave Structure: Both rooms spawn multiple combat waves composed of faction-aligned pirate vessels. The final wave of the second room features an elite command fleet guarding high-value supply containers.
- Loot Pool: Successful completions yield Tier 3 weapon, defensive, and engineering rig blueprints, datacores and debris for reverse engineering, and standard pirate bounties.
Target Prioritization
Fast electronic warfare (E-war) frigates represent the primary point of failure. Elite frigates approach at speeds exceeding 2,000 m/s and fit Warp Scramblers and Stasis Webifiers. If an elite frigate closes within 10 to 15 kilometers, it shuts off your Microwarpdrive (MWD) and slows your sub-warp speed, allowing incoming fire from enemy cruisers and battlecruisers to apply cleanly.
| Target Class | Key E-War Applied | Threat Level | Kill Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite Frigate | Warp Scramble, Stasis Web | Shuts off MWD; locks ship down within 10–15 km | Priority 1 (Immediate) |
| Standard Frigate / Destroyer | Stasis Web, Sensor Damp | Minor tackle; high tracking application | Priority 2 (High) |
| Elite Cruiser | Energy Neutralizer, Tracking Disruptor | Drains capacitor rapidly within 20 km | Priority 3 (Moderate) |
| Battlecruiser / Battleship | Target Painter | Heavy alpha strikes; large effective health pools | Priority 4 (Final) |
Lock all elite frigates as soon as a wave materializes. Counter their small signature radius and high transversal speed using your own stasis webs or target painters. Once tackle ships are destroyed, eliminate standard light hulls before engaging cruisers, battlecruisers, and battleships.
Defensive Positioning and Kiting
Landing through an acceleration gate puts your ship near the center of the NPC spawn group. Do not sit stationary at the entry beacon.
- Burn Away Immediately: Pick an exit trajectory at an angle away from the incoming fleet. Maintain an active kite vector between 45 and 65 kilometers from the main pack.
- Select Long-Range Weapon Systems: Cruisers using medium missiles or drone ships deploying medium or sentry drones reliably project damage while staying outside the optimal range of enemy blasters and autocannons.
- Manage Speed Modules: If running an Afterburner, set a manual orbit around the perimeter of the room to keep transversal velocity high against enemy railguns and artillery. If running an MWD, pulse it only to pull range during wave transitions. Leaving an MWD running permanently increases your signature radius by up to 500%, drastically increasing the damage received from heavy turrets.
Capacitor Management
Incoming neutralizer pressure from elite cruisers makes capacitor stability critical. Pirate neutralizers can drain a cruiser capacitor within a few cycles inside 20 kilometers, making range your first line of defense.
- Cycle Active Tanks Deliberately: Stagger defensive module activations so shield boosters or armor repairers do not cycle at the exact same instant as active resistance platings.
- Buffer Capacitor Reserves: Equip a medium or large capacitor battery to raise your total pool depth and improve passive recharge rates against neutralizers. Keep an emergency capacitor booster loaded with charges to restart your propulsion module or repairers if neutralizers cap you out.
- Monitor the 30% Threshold: Passive capacitor regeneration drops sharply once your capacitor falls below roughly one-third of its maximum capacity. If your pool dips below 30% while under fire, align to an exit celestial immediately rather than waiting for an empty capacitor to disable your warp drive.
Loot Collection and Disengagement
Supply containers unlock after you destroy the final command wave in the second room. Because Inquisitor signatures appear on system-wide scanner overlays, roaming hostile pilots frequently check active gates to catch ratting ships.
- Set your overview to display approaching ships, capsules, and combat probes.
- Align your ship toward a station, friendly citadel, or celestial beacon while moving toward the loot containers.
- Open the containers, quickly transfer the rig blueprints and datacores to your cargo hold, and avoid lingering to loot standard wrecks.
- If an unknown ship enters the grid through the acceleration gate, warp immediately to your aligned destination.

Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
The tips are practical and easy to follow.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
