To solo the high-tier Trial of the True God storyline mission in EVE Echoes, fly a long-range battlecruiser or battleship, warp into the encounter at 70 to 100 kilometers, and burn directly away from the beacon to string out the hostile fleet. Amarr naval forces deal heavy Electromagnetic (EM) and Thermal damage while applying energy neutralizers and tracking disruptors. Kiting beyond 50 kilometers neutralizes their electronic warfare and allows you to pick off fast tackle before taking fire from battleships.
Defensive Profiling and Fitting Priorities
Amarr rats fire energy lasers that deal almost exclusively EM and Thermal damage. Shield-tanked ships require dedicated EM and Thermal hardeners to patch their natural EM vulnerability, while armor-tanked ships require reactive hardeners or focused laser plating.
Close-range brawling ships are vulnerable because elite cruisers and battleships carry heavy Energy Neutralizers and Nosferatu units that drain capacitors within 25 to 40 kilometers. Losing your capacitor disables your propulsion, hardeners, and repair modules. Use long-range weapon platforms such as the Apocalypse, Raven, Dominix, Ferox, or Tornado to stay outside neutralizer range.
| Module Slot | Recommended Setup |
|---|---|
| High Slots | Long-range weapons (Beam Lasers, Missiles, or Railguns) |
| Mid Slots | Target Painter, Stasis Webifier or Warp Disruptor, Large Energy Battery |
| Low Slots | Afterburner or Microwarpdrive, 2x Hardeners (EM/Thermal), Armor Repairer or Shield Booster |
| Combat Rigs | Weapon Range, Rate of Fire, EM/Thermal Resistances |
Your engineering setup must provide either full capacitor stability with your propulsion module active or a sufficient capacitor buffer to sustain a five-minute burn away from the initial spawn cluster.
Warp-In and Fleet Separation
Never enter the mission pocket at zero kilometers. Warping to zero places your ship within immediate warp-scramble and neutralizer range of elite frigates and battleships.
- Set your warp-in distance to 70 km, 80 km, or 100 km.
- The moment you break warp, align away from the spawn beacon and immediately activate your Afterburner or Microwarpdrive.
- Keep burning away along a straight line. Because hostile ships have different maximum sub-warp velocities, this movement strings out the enemy fleet into an elongated pursuit formation.
- Fast elite frigates and interceptors will pull ahead of the main formation, isolating themselves so you can destroy them before the enemy's heavy cruisers and battleships arrive in firing range.
Target Elimination Priority
Eliminate pursuing hostiles in order of the immediate threat they pose to your ship's mobility and capacitor:
- Elite Frigates and Interceptors: Destroy these first. They close the distance within thirty seconds and will scramble your warp drive, preventing any emergency retreat. Use light drones or small-signature tracking weapons to clear them quickly.
- Neuting and Tackling Cruisers: Target elite Ashimmu, Maller, or Omen hulls next. These ships carry stasis webifiers and energy neutralizers that can collapse your capacitor if they slip inside 40 kilometers.
- Tracking Disruptor Hulls: Eliminate electronic warfare destroyers and cruisers to remove penalties applied to your weapon range and turret tracking speed.
- Heavy Battleships: Once all fast tackle and electronic warfare units are destroyed, whittle down the remaining Abaddon, Apocalypse, and Armageddon hulls. Keep a minimum buffer of 50 kilometers from Armageddon hulls to stay safely clear of their heavy neutralizer modules.
Emergency Warp-Out Protocol
Pre-align your ship toward a celestial body—such as a planet, station, or stargate—that lies roughly along your retreat path.
If your armor or shield drops below 35%, or if a fresh wave spawns directly on top of your ship, do not stay to finish a target. Disengage weapons, select your align point, and warp out immediately. Mission waves in EVE Echoes do not regenerate lost ships upon site exit. Repair your hull and replenish ammunition at a nearby station, then warp back to the mission encounter at 100 kilometers to safely resume clearing the remaining targets.

I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
This guide answered the exact question I had.
