To get the most value out of the Forge of Empires Fellowship Event, save your Opals for full historical selection kits in the Legacy Exchange and keep your town overseer investments capped between Level 1 and Level 4. Spending event currency conservatively ensures you maintain enough resources to clear towns, trigger milestone rewards, and buy permanent city improvements.

Banquet Production Line and Overseer Levels

Each banquet town operates as a three-part supply line that converts raw festival goods into event progress:

  1. Provision Workspaces: Base production stations produce feast supplies and armaments.
  2. Carriage Transport: Carts haul completed supplies from workspaces to the storehouse.
  3. The Banquet Hall: The banquet host delivers stored goods to complete town quotas and award Grand Prize progress.

Overseers automate these stations and boost output rates, but leveling them requires spending event currency. Overinvesting in overseers stalls future towns by exhausting your currency reserves. Stop upgrading managers once they reach the functional thresholds required to prevent delivery bottlenecks.

Overseer TargetRecommended LevelFunction and Allocation Reason
Early WorkspacesLevel 1 to 2Automates early collection with minimal currency investment.
Carriage TransportLevel 3Matches cart capacity to workspace output to stop supply pileups.
Banquet HostLevel 3 to 4Speeds up final delivery to clear the town quickly.
High-Tier WorkspacesLevel 3 to 4Generates the high-volume provision spikes needed for late quotas.

Do not level overseers to Level 5 unless a specific quest requires it. The production gain at Level 5 does not offset the steep currency cost needed to reset subsequent towns.

How to Spend Opals in the Legacy Exchange

The Legacy Exchange allows you to trade Opals for past Fellowship prizes and utility items. Because your total Opal income is capped by your completed banquet towns, daily quests, and milestone chests, every purchase must target lasting city stats.

The Legacy Exchange shop inventory rotates daily. Inspect the shop every reset and hold your Opals until high-impact items appear:

  • Top Priority (Full Selection Kits): Purchase full selection kits for previous Fellowship grand prizes. These kits allow you to finish incomplete historical buildings or place complete, high-efficiency structures.
  • Secondary Priority (Base Attack Buildings): Acquire base event structures that provide direct attack or defense boosts for Guild Expeditions or Guild Battlegrounds if you already have the kits to level them.
  • Avoid (Consumables and Loose Fragments): Skip supply rushes, minor potions, and resource crates. Avoid buying small fragment bundles unless that specific purchase provides the exact amount needed to assemble a full kit before the event ends.

End-of-Town Chest Rules

Completing a banquet board unlocks a set of six end-of-town chests. The first chest is free, while each additional chest costs an increasing amount of event currency. Opening all six chests awards a designated bonus prize.

Before purchasing additional chests, apply this checklist:

  1. Audit Upcoming Currency: Check your remaining event currency against the overseer costs required to start the next town.
  2. Inspect the Bonus Prize: Only open all six chests if the guaranteed bonus prize includes a main prize upgrade kit or an Opal bundle required for an active Legacy Exchange target.
  3. Take the Free Pick and Reset: If the bonus prize does not provide a critical building upgrade, collect the free chest and immediately start a new town without spending currency on the remaining five.

Town Progression Efficiency

Reset your town as soon as you hit the delivery quota required for board completion. Leaving an automated town running after reaching its quota wastes time that should be spent on early questlines in the next cycle. Complete your daily quests immediately upon release, as these provide the core currency supply needed to hire overseers and sustain consistent town turnover.
