To beat Level 59 in Gardenscapes, immediately make matches adjacent to the wooden crates and chained pieces at the bottom of the board. Breaking these lower barriers restores tile flow down the columns, opens up space for creating explosives, and triggers passive cascades from above without wasting limited moves.
Board Bottlenecks and Opening Moves
Level 59 restricts initial tile movement with chained pieces and multi-layered wooden crates concentrated on the lower board. Because incoming tiles refill from top to bottom, obstructed columns cannot drop fresh pieces into the lower field until those barriers crack.
Taking passive three-tile matches near the top edge wastes turns. It leaves the board constricted, limits your ability to create special tiles, and quickly exhausts your move count. Your opening turns should strictly target tiles directly touching crates or chained pieces to widen playable space as early as possible.
Move Priorities
Use this hierarchy to decide your move on each turn:
| Priority | Action | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Low-board matches touching crates or chains | Opens blocked columns and triggers natural tile cascades. |
| 2 | 4-tile or 5-tile setups for Bombs or Dynamite | Creates area-of-effect explosives needed to clear dense layers. |
| 3 | Detonating paired boosters | Clears wide board sections and rapidly charges the Rainbow Blast. |
| 4 | High-board 3-tile matches | Safe fallback only when no lower moves or booster setups exist. |
Creating and Combining Boosters
Standard three-piece line matches do not clear enough tiles to complete Level 59 within the turn limit. You must build area-of-effect explosives to break multiple blocker layers at once:
- Firecrackers: Formed by four-tile matches. Useful for chipping single crate layers or breaking individual chain links.
- Bombs: Formed by five tiles matched in an L or T shape. Detonates a wide radius around stubborn obstacle groups.
- Dynamite: Formed by matching six tiles. Clears large swaths of the playing field in a single action.
Whenever two boosters land side by side, swap them together instead of detonating them separately. A Bomb + Bomb combination produces a massive shockwave across multiple rows, while pairing Dynamite with any other explosive sweeps almost the entire active grid.
Rainbow Blast Deployment
Explosions and standard matches fill the circular Rainbow Blast gauge at the edge of the board. Once charged, deploy the Rainbow Blast with intent rather than triggering it immediately:
- Best Use: Slide the Rainbow Blast into an adjacent explosive booster. This converts every instance of a random tile color into that booster across the entire board, detonating them all at once.
- Targeted Clear: If no combo is available, swap the Rainbow Blast with the tile color that directly touches the remaining crates or chained pieces. Clearing that specific color removes blockages and reshuffles the surrounding pieces.
- Avoid Idle Detonations: Do not use a Rainbow Blast on a color with only two or three pieces visible, as this provides minimal impact and wastes the charge.
Common Mistakes on Level 59
- Following automated hints: The game regularly pulses possible three-tile matches in upper corners. These automated prompts do not evaluate level objectives and will drain your turns without damaging the crates below.
- Detonating isolated boosters in open space: Avoid triggering a Bomb or Firecracker if its blast radius hits only empty tiles. Spend a turn sliding it closer to crates or combining it with another power-up to maximize its value.

This helped me understand strategy much better.
Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
