To complete both stages of the Cinco de Mayo Party in Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story, you must earn event tokens by completing customer orders on your main kitchen board, clear the initial reward ladder, and prepare for a secondary bonus round that requires roughly double the point density.

Event Structure and the Secondary Lap

The Cinco de Mayo Party runs on your standard restaurant grid rather than an isolated minigame board. Fulfilling regular diner orders generates event tokens alongside gold and story points. These tokens advance a linear milestone track containing gems, generator parts, and energy chests.

Once you claim the final prize on the primary milestone track, the event resets into an advanced bonus round (often called the second lap). This secondary track features higher milestone thresholds, but it awards duplicate holiday decorations, extra boosters, and larger gem rewards.

Order Prioritization and Token Yields

Different order tiers provide drastically different token rates relative to the energy spent producing them. To keep your customer queue moving while generating sufficient points, balance quick order completions with dedicated work on high-value chains.

Order DifficultyEnergy InvestmentToken YieldRecommended Handling
Low-Tier (Levels 1–4)10–25 EnergyLowTurn in quickly to cycle open customer slots.
Mid-Tier (Levels 5–7)30–70 EnergyModerateFulfill consistently for steady baseline progression.
High-Tier (Levels 8+)80+ EnergyExtremely HighPrioritize during active energy pushes or point events.

Avoid letting your board fill with dead-end items. If a low-paying order requests a difficult side-chain item from a low-level generator, leave it alone until higher-yielding requests are completed.

Energy Allocation and Board Management

Completing the secondary round requires strict energy budgeting. Natural energy replenishment alone is insufficient to clear the final milestone thresholds before the event expires.

  • Bank energy for high-tier pushes: Do not consume maximum-tier energy bottles on low-tier snacks. Save collected energy items for long merge chains that complete high-tier customer requests.
  • Stack active events: Align your major order completions with secondary occurrences, such as coin races or customer rushes, to maximize the return on each spent unit of energy.
  • Limit concurrent merge lines: Work on no more than two production chains at any given time. Developing three or more high-tier items simultaneously clutters the board and stops production.
  • Maintain free grid space: Keep at least six to eight open tiles on your main kitchen grid. Use temporary inventory spaces for secondary generator drops like toolboxes or coffee items rather than selling valuable components prematurely.

Final Milestone Pacing

Check your token accumulation and milestone tier roughly 24 hours before the event ends. If you are still working through the secondary bonus ladder at that point, convert all stored energy chests directly into high-tier order production to clear the remaining reward tiers before the event closes.
