To get the most value out of a Hero Swap Card in Hero Clash, trade an over-invested donor hero for an exclusive, hard-to-summon S+ carry or support such as Celina or Roger. Never spend this card on heroes readily available in recurring exchange shops.
How the Hero Swap Card Works
The Hero Swap Card lets you select one target hero from a fixed pool of 31 units and instantly transfer investment from a donor hero.
- What transfers: The donor's complete star level, awakening rank, and base level investment move directly to the recipient hero.
- What does not transfer: Exclusive gear, private relics, and rune loadouts stay behind. You must supply faction gear and relic materials separately for the new hero.
Because this item is scarce, save it for high-awakening donor units at Mythic+ or Eternal rank. Using it on lower-tier donors wastes the opportunity to skip dozens of hard-to-pull hero copies.
Best S+ Swap Targets
Prioritize heroes who define late-game PvE and PvP teams and cannot be consistently purchased through permanent in-game shops.
| Hero | Primary Role | Faction | Main Reason to Pick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Celina | Support / Cleanse | Human / Multi-faction | Provides energy management, debuff cleansing, and teamwide survivability against high-deficit campaign enemies. |
| Roger | Burst Assassin | Beast | Bypasses enemy tanks to eliminate priority backline targets; exceptionally difficult to build via standard summons. |
| Sophia | Control / Disruption | Beast | Delivers speed reduction and frontline crowd control needed for fast-strike teams. |
| Denise | Offensive Buffer | Night | Amplifies team damage scaling and debuffs, providing an immediate power spike at Eternal awakening. |
Secondary Situational Picks
If you already own the primary targets above, consider secondary anchors that fill specific roster gaps:
- Poros: A premier crowd-control tank who disrupts enemy attack rhythms and protects vulnerable backline carries. Select Poros only if you lack a developed frontline.
- Natalie or Bard: Specialized carries for faction trials and guild expeditions. These units require dedicated team synergy and should only be targeted if your primary damage dealer is already maxed.
Trap Picks to Avoid
Do not select heroes that you can steadily acquire through normal gameplay stores. Exchanging into farmable units permanently sets back your account's summon economy.
- Alvarez: Alvarez is an effective early-game carry, but her copies appear frequently in summon events, beginner milestones, and exchange shops.
- Fagon: A reliable frontline tank who can be built over time using Arena and Faction currencies rather than an exclusive swap card.
- Early-Game Bruisers: Any unit whose performance drops sharply past Chapter 25 lacks the stat multipliers required for endgame deficit pushing.
Pre-Swap Checklist
Before finalizing your card redemption, confirm the following requirements:
- Audit the Donor's Awakening: Verify that your donor hero is at least Mythic+, and preferably Eternal. Swapping a lower star-rank donor wastes the card's potential.
- Verify Shop Availability: Check the Arena Store, Faction Store, and Dissolution Store to ensure the hero cannot be bought with passive currencies.
- Stockpile Gear and Relics: Confirm you have class-appropriate equipment and rune sets ready, as the target hero will inherit the donor's rank but none of their equipment.
