To clear World Exploration 14 (Hazy Forest) in Hero Clash, navigate the map's puzzle mechanisms in sequence, preserve your team's health across consecutive fights, and defeat every enemy camp to access all hidden chests. Reaching 100% completion requires clearing the entire map rather than simply defeating the final guardian.

Team Setup and Health Management

World Exploration stages carry hero health and energy between battles without automatic revival between normal encounters. Sustaining your lineup across multiple skirmishes is necessary to avoid losing key heroes before reaching the final boss.

  • Damage Carries: Anchor your squad with Transcendent-tier carries capable of bursting down threats before enemy skills wipe your team.
  • Frontline Tanks: Position durable units with crowd control in the front row to absorb opening bursts and disrupt dangerous enemy skills.
  • Healers and Supports: Include dedicated supports that supply consistent healing, shields, and energy generation to enter every encounter at full strength.
  • Reserve Hero Swaps: If your main heroes take severe damage early, deploy reserve heroes against weaker trash camps to preserve your primary squad for elite battles.

Hazy Forest uses environmental barricades, color-coded mechanisms, and pathway obstacles to block progress. Clearing the map efficiently requires activating switches in an order that keeps routes open:

  1. Clear the Starting Perimeter: Eliminate the initial normal camps directly outside your spawn point to open the first branch of the forest.
  2. Activate the Primary Mechanism: Interact with the first color-coded mechanism or path stone to lower the barricades blocking the eastern and northern paths.
  3. Follow the Open Lanes: Advance through the cleared corridors, taking out standard camps while bypassing high-level elite warnings until peripheral paths are clear.
  4. Trigger Secondary Switches: Move through the side corridors to activate secondary mechanisms, dropping the interior barriers that guard the central clearing.
  5. Open the Boss Enclosure: Confirm that all interior gates have dropped before engaging the final guardian at the end of the map.

Whenever you trigger an activation pad or pull a lever, look for barriers that drop in distant corridors to prevent unnecessary backtracking.

Combat Priority and Encounter Order

Avoid fighting elite camps immediately when they appear. Engaging weaker camps first allows your team to enter tough encounters with fully charged energy bars.

Target TypeMap RoleStrategic Priority
Scout Camps (Normal)Roadblocks along outer pathsHigh priority: clear first to build energy and open movement routes
Elite Patrols (Gold/Red)Guards protecting switches and chestsMedium priority: fight after securing peripheral lanes and building team energy
Forest Guardians (Bosses)Gatekeepers blocking the end of the zoneLow priority: engage only after all switches and side encounters are cleared

Finding All Hidden Chests for 100% Completion

Defeating the final boss does not automatically award 100% exploration. To claim all rewards and finish the stage completely, follow these checks:

  • Search Foliage and Tree Lines: Heavy tree canopies obscure alcoves and corners. Check dead-end paths thoroughly for hidden loot chests.
  • Revisit Lowered Barriers: Return to spots where barriers dropped early in the run, as bonus chests often sit directly behind those gates.
  • Eliminate Every Enemy Node: Every enemy camp on the map counts toward exploration progress. Leaving an optional camp undefeated will prevent you from reaching 100%.

Check your exploration percentage in the stage interface before leaving through the exit portal. If it is below 100%, scan the map for remaining fog or missed chests.

Resetting the Stage

If you hit switches in an unworkable order or lose your primary carry early, reset the stage from the exploration entrance menu. Resetting restores all interactive gates, environmental switches, and enemy camps to their original state. You can also exit an active combat encounter before defeat resolves to avoid permanent hero casualties for that run.
