To access the World map in High Seas Hero: Dig & Build, tap the globe icon in the lower-right corner of the main cabin screen. This transitions your view from the internal ship deck to the persistent global ocean grid, where you can dispatch fleets to hunt monsters, gather building supplies, and collect drifting cargo.

Switching to the exterior ocean view does not interrupt interior operations. Cabin digging, room production cycles, and forge crafting continue running in the background while your ships sail.

The World map displays your ship anchored on an open-sea grid shared with other commanders, resource nodes, and neutral hostiles.

Use the following interface controls to track locations and navigate the sea:

  • Coordinates (X, Y): Every point of interest occupies a fixed coordinate. Tap the pin icon next to the coordinate readout to bookmark high-priority gathering islands or hostile targets.
  • Home Recall: When scrolling away from your sector, tap the compass or flagship icon to center the camera back on your base.
  • Tactical Zoom: Pinching out switches the display to a tactical macro layer, showing alliance territory borders and regional boundaries while hiding low-tier map clutter.

Locating Targets with the Search Radar

Instead of scanning the open water manually, use the Search Radar to find targets suited to your current fleet strength. Combat objectives follow a strict linear progression: you must defeat a Level 1 target before the radar permits auto-tracking for Level 2.

Adjust the level slider to the highest tier your fleet power can defeat, then tap search to center the camera on the nearest valid objective.

March Configuration and Fleet Management

Every deployed ship occupies an active march queue until it completes its objective and sails home. Managing these slots prevents bottlenecks in your account's daily resource accumulation.

Combat Flagships

Assign your highest-damage commanders and offensive ship weaponry to combat fleets targeting monsters and rogue fleets. After destroying a target, the fleet automatically embarks on a return march with its rewards. Check your hull condition and crew reserves before queuing another attack, as damaged ships will fail consecutive engagements against higher-tier targets.

Gathering Fleets

Combat statistics do not improve harvesting efficiency on resource islands. Deploy secondary ships led by gathering-focused heroes to maximize collection speed and cargo payload. A gathering fleet remains anchored at the node until the site is exhausted or its cargo hold fills up. Keep your primary combat flagship free while daily stamina remains.

Stamina Priority Sequence

Offensive marches consume Stamina, which regenerates slowly over real-time hours. To prevent energy from capping and wasting regeneration, execute daily actions in this order:

  1. Spend regenerating stamina on monsters: Attack the highest unlocked sea monster your fleet can defeat to secure upgrade tokens and hero experience.
  2. Clear limited-time event spawns: Direct remaining combat stamina toward event targets and maritime bosses that offer elevated drop rates for standard energy costs.
  3. Deploy gathering fleets: Once stamina is depleted and combat flagships are idle, send gathering fleets to nearby wood or iron nodes.
  4. Collect drifting salvage: Pick up nearby floating crates and driftwood. These pickups do not consume stamina and yield instant pocket supplies.

Save premium currency rather than purchasing stamina refills at low account levels. Refills provide significantly greater value once high-tier monsters with advanced equipment drops are unlocked.

Defending Against Enemy Raids

Resource islands do not receive defensive support from your flagship's cannons or cabin structures. Hostile commanders can attack your gathering fleets directly on the open water. To reduce the risk of ambush, gather within your alliance's marked territory borders, where gathering speed is increased and allied players receive alerts of approaching hostiles.

Any uncollected resources exceeding your warehouse's vault protection limit can be looted during a direct base attack. Before logging off, spend excess wood, iron, and meat on cabin expansions, ship gear, or fleet research to keep your stockpiles below the protected threshold.
