To encounter the Giant in the City dimension in Idle Slayer: Addictive Clicker, you must unlock the City via your Portal and purchase the dedicated City Giant upgrade node on the Ascension tree. By default, the City spawns only minor standard enemies. Once you unlock the Giant node with Slayer Points, the enemy appears permanently across standard Ascensions within your current Ultra Ascension cycle.

Unlocking the City Giant

Unlocking the City Giant requires reaching the zone through normal portal progression and banking sufficient Slayer Points to buy the upgrade node.

  1. Unlock City Portal Travel: Progress your dimensional milestones until the City appears as an eligible travel destination in your Portal menu.
  2. Bank Slayer Points: Save enough Slayer Points before or immediately following an Ascension to afford the node.
  3. Purchase the Ascension Node: Open the Ascension tree and buy the City Giant upgrade.

Once purchased, the Giant enters the regular spawn pool for the City. You do not need to repurchase the node after standard Ascensions, though an Ultra Ascension will reset the tree.

Farming Slayer Points with the City Giant

Giants have significantly higher base soul yields than standard mobs. Because they absorb multiple hits, they serve as the primary targets for stacking temporary soul multipliers with Rage Mode.

Farming ElementExecution StrategyExpected Outcome
Soul MultipliersCollect Random Boxes and Silver Boxes until an active soul percentage boost triggers.Multiplies the base Slayer Point value of the Giant kill.
Rage Mode ActivationTrigger Rage Mode immediately when a Giant appears while a soul multiplier is active.Instantly clears the Giant to harvest high burst soul yields.
Horde and Frenzy EventsSave Rage charges if a Mega Horde or Frenzy box event is about to activate.Clears multiple waves alongside rapid Giant spawns under bonus multipliers.

Do not activate Rage Mode on unbuffed Giants during normal traversal. If a Giant spawns without an active multiplier, defeat it with regular attacks to keep the spawn rotation moving while conserving Rage resources.

Bestiary and Quest Priorities

Each City Giant kill counts toward tiered Bestiary milestones, which grant passive account boosts to coin generation, combat stats, and soul acquisition. The Giant also yields materials used in advanced bag crafting recipes and village upgrades.

To keep farming efficient, monitor these progression rules:

  • Play Actively for Giant Farming: Giants take longer to defeat while idle. Offline progression calculations do not take advantage of Silver Box multipliers or Rage Mode timing, making active runs far more lucrative for soul generation.
  • Finish Prerequisite Zone Quests First: If you still have open quests requiring kills in earlier dimensions such as the Haunted Castle, Mystic Valley, or Jungle, finish them before committing extended active sessions to the City. Completing those quests unlocks global perks that improve your returns across all zones.
