To streamline account progression in IdleOn - Idle RPG, handle town errands through the Codex Quick Ref interface, secure your gear with the item lock toggle, maintain separate presets for fighting and gathering, claim daily reset items across every unlocked character, and force a cloud save before closing the client.

Access Town Utilities Remotely with the Codex Quick Ref

The Codex Quick Ref menu allows you to manage core hub utilities without walking back to town, keeping your characters positioned on active farming maps. Open your Codex and select the Quick Ref tab to access four essential remote systems:

  • Storage Chest: Deposit excess monster drops and gathered materials directly from your bag. Note that this is deposit-only; you cannot withdraw items remotely.
  • The Anvil: Collect production items, craft unlocked recipes, and spend coins and monster drops to upgrade anvil point bonuses.
  • Town Shops: Purchase daily vendor stocks—including town teleport scrolls, statues, and specialized production items—from any unlocked world shop.
  • The Post Office: Complete daily shipping orders directly from your active map to earn delivery box upgrade bonuses.

Check your shops and anvil queues through this interface at the start of each session before moving across maps.

Protect Equipment and Materials with Item Locking

To avoid losing valuable gear, food, or upgrade materials while managing your inventory, use the item lock toggle. Locking an item places a padlock icon on its slot and blocks three critical failure points:

  • Deposit All: Clicking the quick-deposit button moves loose resources to storage while leaving locked items, tools, and equipment in your inventory.
  • Vendor Sales: Locked items cannot be sold to shopkeepers during rapid inventory clears.
  • Accidental Drops: Locked items cannot be dragged out of your inventory and dropped on the ground.

To lock an item, open your inventory, click the specific item, and toggle the lock button inside its description box. Apply this lock permanently to your equipped gear, golden foods, stat upgrade stones, and active tools.

Separate Combat and Gathering Presets

Running a hybrid build reduces both mob kill rates and harvesting yields. IdleOn - Idle RPG provides two dedicated talent pages and separate card preset tabs so you can specialize each character for fighting or resource gathering.

FeaturePreset 1: Combat FocusPreset 2: Skilling Focus
TalentsWeapon power, active attack skills, damage multipliersBase efficiency, tool power, skill-specific AFK gain %
Card PresetBase damage, accuracy, drop rate, fight AFK gain %Skill efficiency, resource multi-drop, skilling AFK gain %
Food SlotsHP recovery food, speed potions, damage potionsGolden foods (peanuts, jams), skill efficiency potions

Whenever you transition a character from mob farming to chopping, mining, catching, or fishing, switch both the talent tab and the card preset at the same time to avoid running AFK sessions with mismatched stats.

Daily Multi-Character Checklist

Static daily allowances reset at midnight server time and do not accumulate if missed. Cycle through every character on your account daily to claim these resources:

  1. Daily Boss Keys: Talk to key-granting NPCs on every character (such as Dog Bone in Blunder Hills for Amarok keys). Keys enter your shared storage, allowing your roster to build a large boss-ticket reserve for crafting runs.
  2. Shop Supplies: Check vendors across all unlocked worlds to buy out limited daily stocks of statues and upgrade stones.
  3. Anvil Production EXP: Open the production tab on each character to claim accumulated items like thread and nails. Claiming production awards character-specific Smithing experience, which levels up the skill and generates more anvil points.
  4. Free Minigame Plays: Use your daily free attempts on resource minigames (mining, chopping, fishing, and catching) to secure quick resource payouts without consuming stamina.

Prevent Progress Loss with Cloud Saves

Closing the game abruptly through keyboard shortcuts or shutting down mobile apps while on a farming map can cause your local progress to desync, leading to rolled-back AFK gains, missing drops, or reset quest steps.

IdleOn - Idle RPG executes an authoritative cloud sync whenever you change characters. Before closing the game, open the options menu and select Player Menu to return to the character selection screen. Once the character selection screen loads and displays your current levels and locations, your session data is saved to the cloud, and you can safely close the client or change devices.
