To clear Dwarven Gate on Veteran difficulty with a full 20 lives and 3 stars in Kingdom Rush Vengeance TD+, build your primary kill zone at the central S-bend just outside the gate. Dwarven forces on Veteran arrive in tighter, more resilient packs. If you position towers too close to the northern spawn or too near the southern exit, fast runners will slip through and armored units will outlast your damage.

Anchor the midpoint with an Orc Warriors Den and Veruk, set up an Infernal Mage to melt armor, and use Shadow Archers to clean up fast runners.

Initial Tower Layout and Build Priority

Your starting gold is sufficient to establish a frontline stall and mixed-damage coverage before calling the first wave. Concentrate your initial investments at the central curve where tower ranges overlap multiple sections of the path.

TowerRoleInitial Placement Priority
Orc Warriors DenStalls incoming waves inside tower fireInflection point of the central S-bend
Infernal MageHigh single-target magic damage against armored shieldsDirectly adjacent to the Orc Warriors Den
Shadow ArchersRapid physical fire against unarmored runners and stragglersInner curve covering both entrance and exit bends
Goblin Rocket RidersArea-of-effect physical damage against miner swarmsOuter flanking plot covering straight approach lines

Build the Orc Warriors Den, Infernal Mage, and Shadow Archers first. As gold comes in from defeated dwarves, prioritize upgrading the Infernal Mage before constructing peripheral towers. Armored dwarven infantry resist physical hits, making early magic upgrades essential for keeping the choke point clear.

Hero Positioning: Staggering Veruk

Veruk serves as a mobile frontline shield who stalls enemies without requiring gold. On Veteran, dwarven clusters can overwhelm barracks blockers alone if they fight without support.

  1. Set the frontline: Place Veruk on the path slightly ahead of the Orc Warriors rally point. This splits incoming waves so Veruk absorbs the vanguard while your orcs catch fast-moving miners behind him.
  2. Hold inside the kill zone: Ensure Veruk fights within range of your Infernal Mage and Shadow Archers so tower damage assists him continuously.
  3. Cycle health: When Veruk's health runs low under heavy assault, pull him back behind your Orc Warriors. His passive health regeneration will restore him while your barracks units and tower fire clean up the stalled enemies.

Countering Miners and Armored Dwarves

Dwarven Gate features two primary enemy profiles that require different damage types:

  • Dwarven Miners: Fast and lightly armored. They attempt to sprint past your line in dense packs. Let your Shadow Archers and Goblin Rocket Riders target these groups. Use basic physical burst to thin their numbers before they reach the main bend.
  • Armored Dwarven Soldiers: High physical defense allows them to survive standard arrow fire. Never rely on archers or barracks units alone to eliminate them. Hold them in place directly under your Infernal Mage, whose magic attacks bypass dwarven armor.

Reinforcement and Ability Timing

Active skills prevent leaks when high-density waves converge at the bend.

  • Call Reinforcements: Deploy reinforcements on cooldown. Place them adjacent to your Orc Warriors or just behind Veruk. Do not spawn them far up the path where they fight without tower support.
  • Soul Impact: Reserve your main offensive spell for large groups or heavy pushes where multiple armored dwarves threaten to overwhelm your blockers. Target the center of your choke point to eliminate swarms instantly and free up your towers to focus down remaining elites.
