To remain competitive and progress steadily, non-spenders must pivot away from leading offensive attacks or contesting solo leaderboards. Instead, your primary role is acting as a specialized support engine: reinforcing alliance rallies, funneling universal upgrade materials into a narrow hero pool, keeping your hospital unburdened, and consistently converting daily stamina into account progress.

Alliance Combat Roles and Troop Deployment

In Kingshot, an attack march scales directly off the rally leader's hero skills, gear quality, and research multipliers. Because an under-geared rally captain puts every joined march at a severe statistical disadvantage, non-spenders should never initiate rallies against contested targets or attempt solo sieges against active player cities.

Instead, direct your military strength into reinforcing high-level alliance captains. When you join an allied rally or garrison an allied structure, your troops fight under the leader's superior combat bonuses.
