Combat Tactics for Early Waves
Enemies in stage 1-1-9 spawn in sequential waves from left to right. Burning skill cooldowns on isolated targets wastes resources and leaves your party vulnerable when denser waves arrive.
- Build Skill Gauges: Use standard attacks on single low-level enemies to fill your gauge before the next cluster appears.
- Target Nearest Enemies: Focus fire on incoming melee units to stop them from reaching your ranged or support characters.
- Time Area-of-Effect (AoE) Skills: Hold AoE abilities until at least two enemies cluster together. Striking multiple targets interrupts their attack animations and reduces incoming chip damage.
- Reserve Special Moves: Keep all character Special abilities uncast until the final wave spawns.
Manual Positioning and Aggro Control
Fast-paced wave encounters require active movement to keep your party alive without relying on heavy item usage or high-level healing.
- Reposition Targeted Units: If a single character takes heavy focus fire, drag them toward the edge of the battlefield to pull them out of danger.
- Flank Enemy Lines: Move front-line units behind clustered mobs to turn the enemy around, opening them up to safe counterattacks from your remaining allies.
- Rotate Damage Takeers: Swap active front-line attackers when health pools drop to spread damage evenly across the party.
Pre-Battle Upgrades and Ark Setup
If your team fails to survive the final wave or finishes with low health, upgrade your party parameters before retrying the stage.
