Last Z: Survival Shooter Hero Assistance Guide

To use the Hero Assistance feature introduced in the Commander's Descent update for Last Z: Survival Shooter, open the Hero menu, select a primary combat hero, and place secondary heroes into the dedicated assistance slots. Assigning an assistant hero transfers a portion of their attribute stats to your main hero as a passive boost.

How Hero Assistance Works

The system links secondary units directly to active members of your combat squad rather than placing them on the field.

Stat Conversion: Assistants do not grant 100% of their power. Primary heroes receive a percentage-based fraction of the assistant's total stats.
Passive Synergy: Stat bonuses stack onto the primary hero's base stats. Choosing an assistant with percentage-based stat boosts offers stronger long-term scaling than flat numerical additions.
Roster Utility: Secondary units that are underleveled or unsuited for your active combat lineup can still contribute power to your top-tier heroes.

Compatibility and Assignment Rules

Not every secondary hero can support every primary unit. You must follow in-game constraints to activate the assistance bonus:

Check Compatibility Markers: Open the hero menu and inspect the assistance slots. Look for "compatible" visual tags before confirming an assignment.
Faction and Role Limits: Games rules restrict assignments based on unit factions or combat roles. If you select an incompatible unit, the assistance slot remains inactive and provides no stat conversion.
Role Alignment: Pair damage-focused main units with offensive assistants, and pair defensive units with resilience-focused assistants to maximize role specialization.

Resource and Gear Allocation Priorities

Because stat transfer relies on the assistant's overall attributes, upgrading secondary heroes increases the overall bonus transferred to your main squad.

Prioritize your main squad first. Once your primary heroes reach your current leveling cap, spend extra resources on your designated assistant roster to steadily scale your overall squad power.
