Use Malphite’s ultimate to engage on a marksman when your teammates are close enough to follow up. If they are too far away, hold the ability instead of diving alone.
Check before you engage
- Confirm your team is nearby. Malphite’s ultimate knocks up its targets, but the draft’s recommended engage depends on allies being able to capitalize on that opening.
- Look for a vulnerable target. The draft prioritizes the enemy marksman and suggests waiting until their defensive tools, such as Flash or mobility abilities, are unavailable.
- Choose your timing. Engaging too early can leave you without follow-up; waiting too long can give the enemy marksman more time to attack your team.
After the knock-up, the draft’s suggested sequence is Seismic Shard, then Brutal Strikes. If your ultimate is unavailable, focus on protecting your team rather than trying to start another dive.
