You get a 100% success rate on a Legend combine in Legend of YMIR by completely filling the synthesis failure mileage gauge. Standard Legend fusion attempts have a low baseline probability, but every failed attempt using four duplicate Epic cards awards mileage points to a safety counter. Once this meter reaches maximum capacity, your subsequent attempt guarantees a Legend upgrade.

How the Combine Pity Gauge Works

The synthesis system lets you fuse four duplicate Epic cards to roll for a random Legend-grade unit. Under normal conditions, successful fusions are rare, and failed attempts consume all four material cards while returning a minor consolation item.

To offset failure streaks, the game tracks missed attempts directly inside the synthesis interface:

  1. Standard Attempt: You fuse four duplicate Epic cards. A success grants a random Legend card, while a failure consumes the materials and awards failure mileage.
  2. Accumulation: Each failed attempt adds points to the failure gauge shown in the combine window.
  3. Pity Activation: When the gauge reaches 100% capacity, the synthesis interface updates to show a guaranteed outcome.
  4. Guaranteed Claim: Submitting four duplicate Epic cards at max gauge consumes the cards, awards a guaranteed Legend unlock, and resets the failure meter to zero.

Prioritizing Combine Categories

Legend of YMIR separates card synthesis into three distinct categories: Avatars, Mounts, and Disciples. Each category uses its own card pool and tracks failure mileage on an independent gauge.

Because mileage does not share progress across categories, avoid splitting your duplicate materials. Spreading attempts between mounts and avatars leaves multiple meters partially filled, delaying your guaranteed unlock.

Focus your cards in the following order:

  • Avatars (Primary Priority): Legend avatars provide substantial boosts to attack speed, casting speed, skill damage, and critical stats. These directly improve combat efficiency and farming speed across PvE and PvP content.
  • Mounts (Secondary Priority): Mounts offer bonus movement speed, increased health pools, and passive stat bonuses.
  • Disciples (Tertiary Priority): Disciples offer auxiliary utility and supplementary passive bonuses, but they provide smaller immediate stat gains than avatars.

Commit your duplicate cards and selection chests to avatars first until your primary build is secure.

Resource Checks Before Synthesizing

Fusing duplicate cards drains materials and currency rapidly. Check your account status before committing cards to synthesis:

  • Verify Collection Codex Bonuses: Before combining duplicate cards, ensure you do not need the base copies to complete collection codex entries. Permanent bonuses to attack, defense, and accuracy from codex milestones are permanent account upgrades that should not be sacrificed for an unpity-capped combine attempt.
  • Confirm Gold Reserves: Epic syntheses require significant gold per attempt. Ensure you have enough currency to fund both the combine attempts and your routine gear or skill upgrades.
  • Batch Your Duplicate Cards: Stockpile your duplicate cards until you have enough to make meaningful progress toward the gauge threshold, rather than spending materials on isolated single attempts.
