To clear Stage 5 of the Darkness Calls Limited Challenge in Lords Mobile, deploy Rose Knight, Prima Donna, Tracker, and Child of Light alongside the locked hero Jonas. Switch off auto-battle, chain crowd control to cancel heavy enemy skill animations, and stop using offensive skills at the end of each round so your heroes start the next wave with full energy bars.

Limited Challenges normalize hero attributes, meaning victory depends on hero skill utility and manual control rather than raw account stats. Jonas provides offensive magic disruption but cannot protect himself or absorb heavy punishment, so your squad must cover frontline defense, burst single-target removal, and team sustain.

HeroRolePrimary Function
Jonas (Locked)Disruptor / Secondary DPSChains crowd control and applies secondary magic damage
Rose KnightFrontline Tank / SupportAbsorbs opening burst, grants party shields, and stuns priority casters
Prima DonnaSustained HealerRestores team health pools after unavoidable enemy burst attacks
TrackerSingle-Target Ranged DPSSnipes backline casters and finishes off high-threat targets
Child of LightFrontline Control / TankDelivers wide area-of-effect stuns to pause incoming wave damage

Alternative: Demon Slayer can replace Child of Light if you need faster backline infiltration, but Child of Light provides more reliable area lockdown across Waves 2 and 3.

Wave 1: Energy Banking

Wave 1 tests your ability to stabilize incoming damage while completely filling every hero's energy bar before the next transition.

  1. Let Rose Knight advance and engage the front units naturally to trigger her automatic damage barrier.
  2. Target the highest-damage enemy with Tracker's ultimate once enemy units settle into position.
  3. Use Child of Light and Jonas to stun enemies charging heavy physical swings.
  4. Stop activating offensive ultimates when only one or two weakened melee enemies remain.
  5. Allow basic auto-attacks to finish the remaining enemies so all five heroes enter Wave 2 with full energy meters. Hold Prima Donna's heal if the team remains above 80% health.

Wave 2: Neutralizing Ranged Casters

Wave 2 introduces dangerous backline spellcasters that can eliminate Jonas or Prima Donna in seconds if left unchecked.

  1. Stun the opening pack: As soon as enemy units deploy, aim Child of Light's ultimate over the center cluster to interrupt their initial skill wind-ups.
  2. Snipe the backline: Immediately direct Tracker's ultimate at the most dangerous backline caster to remove the primary damage threat before it fires.
  3. Control flankers: Use Jonas's control skill on secondary melee threats pressing into Rose Knight.
  4. Time the recovery: Trigger Prima Donna's heal only after the enemy's opening burst connects, restoring the party before follow-up attacks hit.
  5. Recharge for the boss: Once the high-threat casters fall, stop using ultimates and finish the final minion with regular attacks to enter the final round at full energy.

Wave 3: Managing the Boss Burst

The final wave pits your team against the stage boss and heavily armored bodyguards capable of wiping out your frontline with coordinated area attacks.

  • Stagger your stuns: Do not cast all disables simultaneously. Open with Child of Light or Rose Knight to halt the boss's opening advance, then fire Jonas's control skill immediately after the first stun expires to maintain an uninterrupted lock.
  • Focus down key targets: Direct Tracker’s ultimate into the boss or the most dangerous supporting guard to quickly thin the enemy's damage output.
  • Counter heavy ground slams: The boss regularly charges an area-of-effect ground strike. If an interrupt is unavailable, wait for the damage to land, then instantly activate Prima Donna to heal through the recovery phase.
  • Clean up remaining guards: Once the boss falls, cycle basic attacks and remaining stuns onto the remaining bodyguards to finish the stage.

Failure Points and When to Reset

  • Healing too early: Prima Donna restores health through periodic ticks. Activating her skill before an enemy attack lands often results in heroes dying before the healing ticks register.
  • Spending skills late in a wave: Using Tracker or Child of Light on low-health minions right before a wave ends leaves you without vital burst or crowd control when the next wave spawns.
  • Early hero casualties: If your frontline collapses or any hero dies before reaching Wave 3, pause and select retry immediately.
