To rescue a captured leader in Lords Mobile, your guild must burn the holding castle in battle before the execution timer expires, or the victim must use an item to bypass the prison. When a leader is captured, the victim immediately loses leader equipment stats, army talent bonuses, and Hero Command boosts, while an enemy with an active Prison and Altar gains army buffs from holding and executing them.

Before committing troops, determine whether the captor's castle can actually be burned. Failing an unprepared rescue attempt will hand the defender an additional captive.

Step 1: Scout and Diagnose the Captor's Defenses

Do not blind-hit a fortified castle or rally trap. If anti-scout is active, send a small test march or light probe to reveal which troop type takes damage at the wall before setting a 5-minute or 10-minute rally timer.

Assessment FactorDiagnostic MethodTactical Decision
Active War GearInspect player profile equipment, jewels, and familiar talents.Target the defender's primary defensive gear weakness.
Frontline PhalanxSend pyre pings or cavalry probes to check frontline casualties.Select the direct counter-type (such as a Ranged blast against an Infantry phalanx).
Castle ReinforcementsCheck turf garrison visual indicators, track embassy changes, or ping the wall.Coordinate multi-rallies or bait reinforcements out if the castle is heavily backed.
Execution TimerCheck the captive's status in the player profile.Gauge whether you have time to organize a standard rally or must strike immediately.

Step 2: Form a Specialized Blast Rally

Mixed compositions rarely generate enough burst damage to break through high hospital capacities and deep tier 4 or tier 5 troop walls.

  1. Pick a Single Troop Type: The rally lead must run a specialized single-type blast (full Infantry, full Ranged, or full Cavalry) backed by matching gear, Army Attack bonuses, and hero commands.
  2. Set Tier Ratios: Fill the rally with maximum tier 5 and tier 4 troops to maximize piercing damage against the targeted phalanx.
  3. Enforce Pure Fills: Guild members joining the rally must send only the requested troop type and tier. Exclude "dirty" marches containing siege engines or off-type tier 1 units, which dilute speed baselines and waste combat buffs.

Step 3: Speed Up the March and Trigger Combat Familiars

Rally execution relies on minimizing the captor's reaction window so they cannot rotate phalanxes, equip defensive war gear, or request embassy reinforcements.

  • Carpet-Bomb March Speedups: Once the rally departs, apply consecutive march speedups to compress travel time to a few seconds. Sending decoy marches or test attacks toward nearby enemies can also distract reinforcing guildmates.
  • Deploy Shield-Breakers: Have the lead field familiars that deal immediate burst damage to the enemy frontline at the start of combat.
  • Utilize Frontline Loss Multipliers: Use familiars like Gryphon to grant massive army attack boosts as friendly troop counts cross specific loss thresholds.
  • Add Tier 5 Familiars: Bring tier 5 familiars to inflict area-of-effect damage across deep reinforcing pools.

Alternative Options When a Castle Cannot Be Burned

If the captor possesses astronomical might, extensive champion gear, or massive tier 2 meatshields, brute-forcing a rescue rally will inflict severe guild-wide troop losses without breaking the prison. When a target cannot be cracked, use alternative release methods:

  • Devil's Cap: The captured player can consume a Devil's Cap mushroom to poison their leader, forcing an early death and initiating the resurrection countdown immediately.
  • Ransom Payment: Pay a set gold ransom if the captor listed a reasonable price and immediate hero return is critical.
  • Revival Fruit: If the leader is executed, use an inexpensive Revival Fruit from the Guild Shop or Gem Mall to revive the hero instantly without rebuilding lost armies.
