To clear Primeval Mode in Lucky Defense! using a magic composition, build around King Dian as your primary carry, cluster two to three Kitty Mages to recharge mana, and freeze enemies in place using Coldy and Shock Robots. Magic teams bypass high physical armor through wide area-of-effect burst spells, but they require a stable early economy and disciplined positioning to prevent waves from overwhelming your defenses.

Core Mythic Lineup

A functional magic build requires dedicated mana generation, crowd control, and economy generation to sustain King Dian's ability uptime.

UnitRolePrimary Function
King DianMain Magic CarryDeals heavy screen-wide lightning damage that scales with cast frequency.
Kitty MageMana BatteryRestores mana to surrounding allies, reducing the cooldown between spells.
ColdyCrowd Control / SlowFreezes incoming waves and keeps bosses inside King Dian's strike zone.
Shock RobotStun SupportApplies micro-stuns along lane curves to trap fast-moving targets.
Monopoly ManEconomy EngineGenerates coins and Lucky Stones to fund late-game summons and upgrades.

King Dian depends entirely on rapid skill triggers rather than basic attack damage. Field secondary damage units only after establishing continuous mana acceleration for Dian.

Unit Placement and Board Setup

Kitty Mage mana auras must reach your main caster without obstructing frontline crowd control. Position your units using the following layout:

  1. Frontline Apex (Column 1): Place Coldy and Shock Robots directly at the inward curve of the enemy track. Clumping crowd control at this turn bunches enemies together before they spread down the lane.
  2. Center Core (Columns 2 and 3): Group two or three Kitty Mages tightly in the central rows. Stacking their auras in the center ensures full coverage across both your carry and support casters.
  3. Backline Strike Pocket: Position King Dian directly behind your stun units and adjacent to the Kitty Mage cluster. This keeps Dian safely inside the mana recharge pocket while maintaining attack range on the front bend.

Do not split Kitty Mages across opposite sides of the board. Concentrated mana regeneration allows King Dian to refill MP almost immediately after an ability cast.

Early-Game Economy and Transition

Rushing high-cost magic summons early will cause early round failures. Kitty Mage and Frog Prince lack sufficient base damage to clear opening monster waves alone.

  • Stabilize Early Waves: Deploy common and rare physical units such as Bandits, Sandmen, and Water Elementals during the first 10 rounds to manage enemy counts.
  • Bank Coins for Interest: Avoid rolling aggressively for early Mythics until your banked gold hits interest thresholds and yields steady Lucky Stones.
  • Deploy Monopoly Man First: Bring out Monopoly Man once stone income begins, allowing his passive gold generation to fund subsequent summon attempts.
  • Time the Frog Prince Gamble: Attempt the King Dian evolution only when the lane is controlled and total active enemies remain well under 30. If the gamble fails, place temporary Epic ranged units to clear the wave while rebuilding Lucky Stones for another attempt.

Crowd Control and Boss Strategy

Primeval Mode bosses have substantial health bars and will bypass your defense if allowed to walk freely. A single King Dian backed by two Kitty Mages produces enough damage to defeat any Primeval boss, but only if the target stays stationary within Dian's spell radius.

Stack Coldy and multiple Shock Robots to lock the boss at the primary corner. If a boss pushes past this chokepoint, your units will divide targeting between the boss and newly spawned minion waves, cutting your single-target burst. When a boss wave advances too far, prioritize summoning replacement stun units over gambling for extra damage dealers.

Upgrade and Relic Priorities

Spend match gold strictly to enhance magic output and board consistency:

  1. Mythic Attack Power: Upgrade the shared Mythic attack stat in the shop to maximize King Dian's lightning damage scaling.
  2. Summon Chance and Lucky Stones: Invest remaining gold into summon probabilities to secure additional Kitty Mages and Shock Robots.
  3. Physical Stat Restrictions: Stop spending gold on physical damage upgrades as soon as King Dian is active on the board.
  4. Relic Selection: Before starting a match, equip relics that provide starting MP, bonus attack speed for faster mana building, and flat magic damage amplification.
