To capture wild monsters in Lumi Master, throw cards directly at your targets during combat after reducing their health bar. Success depends on precise aim, timing your throws around enemy defensive actions, and avoiding wasted card inventory on stubborn or low-value targets.

Card-Throwing and Capture Windows

Unlike passive capture menus in traditional RPGs, Lumi Master requires active touch inputs to launch cards at enemies on the combat screen.

• Aim for the Hitbox: Center your throw directly on the enemy monster's hit zone. Spamming quick or erratic inputs wastes cards and reduces overall accuracy.
• Reduce Enemy HP First: Throwing cards at full-health targets drastically lowers your capture success rate. Use standard team attacks to whittle down the target's HP until the health bar visually changes color, indicating a high-probability capture window.
• Time Around Enemy Attacks: Monsters can use defensive shields or animations that block or deflect incoming cards. Wait for the target to complete its attack action, then throw during its recovery window to ensure a clean hit.

Line of Sight and Squad Positioning

Environmental obstacles in different biomes can block your card trajectory or obscure your target. If terrain hazards or distance prevent a clear shot, reposition your squad before throwing.
