To beat Super Hard Level 1009 in Magic Sort!, prioritize completing your first four-unit bottle immediately while keeping at least one of your two initial empty tubes completely clear. Do not spread identical liquid colors across multiple partially filled tubes. Storing scattered colors in open tubes consumes your available capacity and causes early deadlocks within your first five moves.

Core Rules and Level 1009 Bottlenecks

In Magic Sort!, full bottles hold four units of liquid. A transfer is only valid if you pour into an entirely empty tube or onto an identical color layer that has enough room to receive the volume.

Super Hard Level 1009 fragments color segments across multiple tubes, often placing three or four different colors inside a single container. Crucial shades are split into single units trapped beneath surface blockers. Because you begin with only two empty buffer tubes, committing moves without a clear extraction route will freeze the board.

Before making your opening move:

  • Scan the top surface layer of every tube to identify colors that appear two or more times.
  • Locate where the remaining segments of those surface colors are buried.
  • Avoid pouring an isolated segment into an empty tube unless you can immediately follow it with matching units.

Buffer Tube Management Strategy

Your two empty starting tubes are your only flexible workspace. Use one tube to gather a target color while preserving the second tube as an empty bypass for temporary blocker moves.

StageTube Allocation StrategyBoard Outcome
Opening MovesUse Tube 1 to hold target color units; keep Tube 2 empty.Prevents deadlocks while peeling away surface blockers.
ConsolidationFunnel 2 to 3 units of the chosen color into Tube 1.Frees destination space across the rest of the board.
First CompletionTransfer the fourth matching unit to seal Tube 1.Permanently clears one color and reopens a working slot.
Mid-Game CycleUse the freed tube to excavate the next buried color.Unlocks bottom-layer liquid segments systematically.

When starting the level, choose a color that already has two exposed segments. Pour the first segment into Tube 1, then pour the second matching segment directly on top of it. Keep Tube 2 empty so you can move an unrelated blocking color out of the way to reach the third and fourth matching units.

Selecting the Right Target Color

Do not try to build multiple colors at the same time. Focusing on green, orange, and purple simultaneously fills all open tube heads, leaving you with no valid moves.

Target the color that can reach four completed units with the fewest intermediate moves:

  1. Identify a color with at least two exposed surface units.
  2. Check the layers directly below those surface units; choose the color whose remaining pieces are buried under only one blocker layer rather than multiple mixed layers.
  3. Move the blocking layer into your empty bypass tube.
  4. Funnel the revealed target units into your consolidation tube to finish the four-unit stack.

Completing that first bottle permanently removes that liquid color from the board, restoring an empty slot that you can reuse for the rest of the puzzle.

Mid-Game and Endgame Execution

After clearing the first bottle, do not clear random surface matches just because a pour is available. Blindly combining top layers can trap essential bottom colors beneath newly created liquid stacks.

Look at the bottom layer of every congested vessel before transferring liquid onto it. If the bottom of a tube contains a color that has remaining segments scattered elsewhere, do not bury it under an unrelated color. Only place temporary holding layers on top of tubes whose base colors are already completely consolidated.

Once four or five bottles are completed, your operational space increases significantly. Maintain at least two empty working tubes, work through the remaining stacks from top to bottom, and only initiate a new color consolidation when you have the open capacity to finish it.
