To beat Super Hard Level 869 in Magic Sort!, clear out a single bottle completely to create an empty buffer before attempting to finish full colors. Level 869 fills the board with fragmented, multi-layer liquid stacks. Without a fully emptied bottle, your transfer routes will quickly stall.

1. Clear an Initial Buffer Bottle

Your opening priority is identifying which bottle can be emptied in the fewest moves.

  • Target shallow or duplicated stacks: Look for containers whose top colors already have open landing spots in other tubes.
  • Consolidate matching top layers: When two bottles share the same exposed top color, pour from the shallower stack into the deeper one to expose the layer underneath.
  • Keep empty bottles clean: Once a bottle is emptied, do not park an isolated color layer in it unless that transfer immediately exposes a matching segment to complete a set elsewhere.

2. Unblock Buried Layers

After securing a working buffer slot, use it strictly as a temporary transit space to uncover blocked colors rather than storing arbitrary units.

3. Prevent Endgame Deadlocks

The primary failure point in Level 869 is committing three units of a color into a bottle before the fourth unit is reachable. If the final unit of that color is buried under other mixed colors and you lack the spare capacity to shift them, that near-full bottle becomes dead weight.

To maintain board mobility:

  1. Trace the fourth unit of a color before assembling three units in one bottle.
  2. If freeing the final unit requires more empty spaces than you currently control, leave the color split across two working bottles.
  3. Finish colors only when the final transfer immediately frees up an entire container.

Once two full bottles are completely sorted and capped, the variety of active colors drops. Use your open buffer bottle to cycle out single covering layers, collapse the remaining matching colors onto their bases, and clear the board.
