To clear levels 571 through 580 in Magic Sort!, focus immediately on freeing at least one full bottle to serve as a buffer slot. Keeping too many bottles partially filled restricts your grid, leading to deadlocks when navigating complex color stacks.

How to Unpack Multi-Color Stacks

Puzzles in this stage frequently layer three or more colors inside a single container. Moving colors out without a plan can trap required base colors under unwanted top layers. When resolving a heavily mixed bottle, follow this move sequence:

  1. Identify the base color: Find the color sitting at the very bottom of the congested bottle.
  2. Clear the upper layers: Move the top colors into their matching destination bottles or open holding spaces.
  3. Expose and shift the base: Once the base color is exposed, transfer it out to consolidate matching units into a single bottle.
  4. Reset your workspace: Use the newly emptied bottle as your next workspace buffer.

Managing Limited Empty Slots

Levels 571 through 580 often start with only one or two empty bottles. Treat these initial empty slots as temporary transfer stations rather than permanent storage.

If you pour a color into an empty bottle, immediately plan its next destination. Leaving a color parked in an open bottle reduces your active board space, making it impossible to perform multi-stage color swaps later in the puzzle.

Preventing Deadlocks and Gridlock

A deadlock occurs when no top-layer color can move into an existing bottle because all available stacks are mismatched. This trap is especially common in Level 575 and Level 578.

To avoid gridlock:

  • Maintain top-layer diversity: Avoid moves that leave multiple bottles showing the exact same top-layer color unless you are actively completing a set.
  • Keep two colors accessible: Always ensure at least two distinct colors remain exposed across your top layers so you have valid moves into open slots.
  • Spot mirror-image patterns: If you see opposite color stacks (such as blue-green-yellow in one container and yellow-green-blue in another), swap their upper and middle layers directly between each other to group matching colors in fewer turns.
