To beat levels 739 through 743 in Match Factory!, collect only the specific items listed on your top objective bar while maintaining at least three empty slots in your seven-slot bottom tray. Tap visible target matches immediately, and never pick up an isolated pair unless the third matching item is already in sight on the board.
Level Profiles and Stage Hazards
Each stage across this block tests a specific matching skill and pile shape:
| Level | Pile Shape | Main Obstacle | Tactical Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 739 | Wide, flat spread | Visual clutter from mixed small items | Match high-contrast colors first to quickly clear sightlines. |
| 740 | Tall center pyramid | Buried target items beneath bulky objects | Clear top blockers to create a central trench to the floor. |
| 741 | Asymmetrical mound | Uneven settling and objects rolling away | Clear the high side downward to prevent uncontrolled shifts. |
| 742 | Clustered heaps | Lookalike items with subtle color shifts | Confirm textures before committing pieces to the tray. |
| 743 | Heavy compaction | Tight timer with targets on the bottom floor | Keep the tray clear and cycle three-of-a-kind matches rapidly. |
Managing the Seven-Slot Holding Tray
Your holding tray holds up to seven items. If all seven slots fill without a valid three-of-a-kind match, the run ends immediately.
- Maintain a three-slot buffer: Keeping three slots empty lets you pick up an entire three-piece set in rapid succession without risking a lockout.
- Confirm the third piece first: If you see two copies of a needed item, do not tap them until you visually locate the third copy in the pile. Storing two dead items occupies nearly thirty percent of your capacity.
- Stop tapping when five slots fill: If your tray reaches five or six items without an immediate clear, pause your excavation. Dedicate your attention entirely to finding the final piece for one of your existing tray pairs.
Excavation Tactics for Buried Items
In levels 740 and 743, target items frequently sit under heavy layers of neutral clutter. Digging downward by picking random objects fills your tray and triggers losses. Excavate systematically:
- Check direct reach: If a target item is partially exposed, tap it only if you can immediately grab its two matching counterparts.
- Clear complete blocker sets: If blockers bury a target, check whether the surface debris contains a full three-piece match. Clearing that match removes surface weight without costing tray space.
- Dislodge edge supports: If no clean surface matches exist, tap loose non-target items along the base perimeter of the pile. Removing base support makes the upper heap slide outward, exposing bottom-layer items without forcing you to dig from above.
Strategic Booster Use
Avoid using boosters during the first 30 seconds of a stage, when unobstructed surface matches are plentiful. Save boosters for the final third of the stage when the timer runs low or the remaining targets are buried:
- The Fan: Use when required items are trapped beneath heavy clutter and no surface matches exist. The Fan blows away upper debris and reveals bottom-layer objects.
- The Vacuum: Use in levels 742 and 743 when the timer drops below 30 seconds. It automatically draws in and completes target sets, bypassing the need to search manually.
- The Spring: Use as an emergency rescue when your tray reaches six items and you cannot locate the finishing piece for any active pair. It knocks excess items back onto the field to prevent a game over.

This saved me time in the early game.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
Good guide for Match Factory! players. The strategy part was useful.
