To resolve actions effectively in Order Automatica (v0.3.0), queue your unit cards before support spells or rituals. The game processes queued cards strictly in a left-to-right sequence on the 3x3 grid. Queueing a target-dependent spell before its required unit forces the effect to trigger on an empty tile, wasting the action.

How Card Queue Resolution Works

Every card you draft or play enters the active queue at the end of the line. The game automatically executes cards from left to right.

• Resolution Sequence: Actions trigger starting from the leftmost slot. Summons, passive tile modifications, and targeted spells resolve in the exact order they sit in the queue.
• Targeting Requirements: Support spells, rituals, and adjacent buffs require active grid targets. If a support card resolves before its unit is on the grid, the spell fizzles.
• Placement Priority: When two cards require the same grid space or depend on identical positioning rules, the card positioned further to the left in the queue receives priority.
• Capacity Constraints: The queue has a strict maximum capacity. Filling every slot with passive or setup cards prevents you from adding immediate reactive cards until earlier slots clear.

Step-by-Step Card Sequencing

Follow this sequence to maintain proper throughput and avoid ability timing errors during rounds:

1. Check the Grid: Confirm which tiles on your 3x3 grid are open or occupied before committing cards.
2. Place Base Units: Add your primary unit cards to the earliest available queue slots to establish targets.
3. Queue Support Spells: Position buff, ritual, or targeted utility cards in later slots behind the units they affect.
4. Interleave High-Impact Spells: Alternate between unit placements and immediate grid-clearing spells to keep the queue moving.
